Sixteenth Edition – July 2021 From The Desk of Jayant Manglik Omni is growing and we need more people at all levels – specially the frontline i.e. Advisors, RM-Sales, Unit Leaders and IP-RM. In all, our plan is to hire several hundred staff this financial year. Omni is now running 120 branch codes from 81 physical branches with revenue coming in from 93 cities. The difference between 93 and 81 is those locations where we have sales teams but they either trade only online or from the nearest branch of those 81 physical locations. Omni is the fastest growing vertical within India’s largest phygital (physical cum digital) broking & distribution network – Motilal Oswal. And yes, Omni broke even in record time with full cost allocation. As I said, we need to hire more people and we are already running an attractive Employee Referral Scheme specially for Omni. So if you know somebody from another organisation who wants to join us, please refer him/her immediately for mutual benefit. Additionally, we have stepped up contact with consultants region-wise who can give us more candidates. We are also exploring putting out advertisements in newspapers for this purpose. Ads have already been placed on LinkedIn and we plan to do similarly on Naukri.com as well. There is a special focus on employee referrals in smaller cities because that is the best source there. IP team hiring has reached double digits and we are intent on hiring 50 IP specialists across the country this year and more later. There is also a discussion going on about hiring frontline positions directly from campuses. Omni’s journey has only just begun and we seek more people who can be part of this journey. We will continue to expand business using the twin levers of hiring and productivity. When we mention growth, it is not limited to one dimension. It includes growth in number employees, customers, profits, product sales, revenue and above all, client satisfaction. For that we need people with the motivation and ability to drive growth. Our strategy of a nationwide branch network with multiple revenue streams driven by incentives already prioritises growth. Processes and infrastructure to facilitate growth are in place. And clearly, funding is not a challenge – Motilal Oswal group is the only entity in our industry to have grown so fast with maximum hires during the Covid lockdown, which is a testament to its conviction, commitment and plans for the future. So refer colleagues from your previous organisation as well as other experienced friends and acquaintances to join Omni’s growth drive. And as always, aim high and do well!
