Digitization of Educational Sector In this era of digital world technology has no bounds, it is touching each and every aspect of our life. Even a school going kid now a days know how to handle a laptop or a tablet and is quite familiar with handling of smartphones. Gone are the days when students use to only listen to lectures delivered by their teachers. Now, Students are breaking the boundaries of classroom and exploring to go beyond their classroom and it is again digitization which is helping them to attain this. This new phase of learning is important for the students so that they are well equipped to face the challenges of future. Students require technology in almost every niche and corner of their curriculum now. Some areas where technology has really made a difference includes: Webinars: There is always a chance the student of management studies or pharmacy wants to listen to some expert talk being delivered at an overseas destination which may not be affordable for him to reach out. Technology offers a solution to the problem by means of a webinar, it makes all the concerned audience around the globe to connect to the expert in simple real time session. Digital content A Hotel management student might like to have a look in to how the machine is working in a food processing industry which he may otherwise not get permission or a chance to see. Digital content in form of videos, presentations or animations helps students to acquire more than what he gets from a non-interactive conventional books. Literature Survey Every student at graduation level requires to gather and process information available through different online sources to describe the originality and relevance of their work and to justify the work conducted. Artificial Intelligence(AI) The latest in the series is the use of artificial intelligence by almost all the streams whether it is Management studies, Pharmacy, Hotel management, Commerce, Journalism, or even Agriculture . Artificial intelligence in education may help to provide a greater level of individualized learning. This is achieved using adaptive learning programs and software. AI respond to the needs of the individual student, putting greater emphasis on certain topics, repeating things that students haven’t skilled, and fixing the pace of learning. At PCTE it is the amalgam of conventional teaching with digital world which makes the difference in the learning of students whether they belong to Pharmacy, Business Administration, Hotel management, Commerce or even Journalism. Students at PCTE enjoy using these technology for not only understanding various concepts but also for preparing and delivering effective presentations, which is an inherent part of their

curriculum. Students are always encouraged to use the information available around the globe by attending series of webinars and also through authentic literature surveys. To match the pace at which the education system is transforming, students at PCTE are also motivated to take on at least one online course in a semester. This gives them an opportunity to interact with experts of their field with whom they can share their ideas. Faculties at PCTE has also shown a lot of commitment in maintaining a right balance of digitization in education system. There is always a chance that over digitization may lead to collapse of conventional classroom teaching which again is not an appropriate practice. It is an effective learning when a teacher uses a correct mixture of both the forms available in a rationale manner.
