Safety RequirementsCOLD RANGE:3C is a cold range!GUN HANDLING AT YOUR CAR IS PROHIBITED:Your car is NOT a Safety Area! Gun handling at your car will incur a DQ (10.5.1). Uncase and holster(or unholster and case) your gun only in a designated Safety Area, or on the line under R.O. supervi-sion. (2.4.1, 8.3.1, 10.5.1).SAFETY AREAS:Safety Areas are clearly signed. Do your dry-firing, cleaning, repairs, practice draws, etc. only in aSafety Area (2.4.1, 10.5.1). No ammunition is to be handled in any Safety Area at any time; this in-cludes empty cases, dummy rounds, or snap caps (2.4.2, 10.5.12).FUNCTION TESTING:Function Testing is allowed at the Chronograph under the supervision of a RO.PLEASE HELP YOUR R.O.’s:Range Officials are here to assist you in having a safe and enjoyable shooting experience. If your gunhandling is becoming unsafe, they may attempt (but are not obligated) to warn you (8.6.1). If yourgun handling has become unsafe, they will take immediate corrective action, even if no warning wasgiven (10.3 - 10.5).ALCOHOL AND DRUGS:Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed anywhere on the premises at any time. Illegal and“recreational” drugs are forbidden anywhere on the premises, at all times. 10.6 & 10.7 will apply!!HAZARD AREAS:Do not climb any berm (2.1.9), or cross any hazard line. PARENTS: Instruct and control your children– your child, your responsibility!VISITORS AND GUESTS:Must register with Match officials, sign a Liability Release, and obtain a Visitor Badge before enteringthe range. Match Procedurals & RequirementsRULES:USPSA Handgun Competition Rules, January 2014 editionCLASSIFICATION:You must be a member of USPSA, or another IPSC Region, to compete (6.4.1). Your most currentUSPSA classification will be used (6.4.2). If your classification is not in the USPSA database, you willshoot as “Unclassified” for overall placement only, and will be ineligible for other awards.NO BRASS PICKUP:This is a “lost brass” match. Brass will be donated to our volunteer staff, by way of thanks for theircontributions.DRESS CODE:Practical Shooting is a SPORT! No controversial or obscene slogans, or any other items of dubioustaste may be displayed, worn, or offered for sale anywhere on the premises (5.3.1). The Match Di-rector will be the sole and final arbiter of dubious taste.COURSE INSPECTION:(6.5.2, 6.5.3, 8.7.3): Stages are open for inspection during set up (please be courteous and stay outof bays where work is still obviously underway!), during the staff match (provided the squad CRO ispresent), during lunch breaks, and during your squad’s walk-through. You may negotiate obstaclesonly during your squad’s walk-through, and when you’re “on deck.” At no time may you manipulateor activate props (8.7.4); moving targets, et al, will be demonstrated for each squad during their walk-through (3.2.4). Please be considerate of your fellow competitors - stay off their stage and out oftheir bay until it is your squad’s scheduled turn to shoot…they’ll return the courtesy…CHRONOGRAPH:You are squadded through the chrono. Your scores will be removed from the match results if youmiss this appointment, or fail to report for a retest (C2.42). If you are pulled for a retest, you willbe expected at the Chrono that same day. The last 15 minutes of each squad period will be used forretesting. Expect to be tested at least twice – once by appointment, and once by surprise/randomsampling. Your loads must make declared power factor at all times during the match – your lowesttest is definitive (C2.41). The Chrono is considered an official stage in the match and subject to allprovisions (including gun handling/commands) of the Jan ’14 Rule Book (C2.43). CED is the officialchronograph of Area 4 2015MATCH BULLETIN BOARD:Stage scores, competitor information, messages, arbitration results, and other official informationwill be posted on the Match Bulletin Board. Please check the bulletin board routinely – you may bementioned and needed! Page 6

Match Procedurals & RequirementsSQUADDING: (6.5.1):You are squadded through the stages. On each stage, the RO will call roll, and the walk-through willbegin on schedule. If you are not present for the walk-through, you must obtain the written permis-sion of the Match Director to shoot that stage (6.5.1). Come early, shoot early – If your entire squadarrives early for a stage; the RO has the option of starting the stage early. If any competitor is ab-sent, however, the squad must wait until their scheduled time to start the stage. Under no circum-stances are squads permitted to “jump” stages.SQUADS STAY TOGETHER:Please remain on the stages with your squadmates until your entire squad has finished (we need toknow where you are). Squad change requests will not be entertained after the match has started,and 6.5.1 will apply to unauthorized squad-jumpers.RESHOOTS:Re-shoots will be required/granted under 2.3.3.1, 4.3.1.5 & .6, 4.6.2, 5.4.3 & .4, 5.7.7.2, 8.6.4, 9.1.3,9.1.4, 9.1.5.2, 9.1.6.2, 9.7.5, 9.10.1, or Appendix C1 only. File an Arbitration Request to seek areshoot for any other reason. If you refuse a mandated reshoot, you will score zero for that stage(2.3.3.3).IMPENETRABLE:All barricades, walls, doors, vision barriers, screens, and props, targets, and no-shoots are deemedimpenetrable to a full bullet diameter (9.1.5). All barricades, walls, doors, vision barriers, and screensare assumed to extend upwards to infinity and downwards to the ground (2.2.3.3) (except for wherestated otherwise in the written stage briefing) ; any shot fired over or under a wall or vision barriernot fired through a designated shooting port will be deemed to have been fired in an unsafe direc-tion, and will incur 10.4.1.SCORING:If you have a question regarding your posted score, recheck your scoresheet and your math (9.8.1).If you still think there’s a problem, bring your copy to Main building and fill out a Problem Report,and leave both with Shooter Services. DO NOT GO INTO THE STATS SHACK (they bite)!!HANDICAPPED SHOOTERS:Rule 10.2.10 will apply at the discretion of the Range Master. Page 7

Match Procedurals & RequirementsSCORING DISPUTES:Keep pace with the RO as he or she scores your targets, and voice any scoring challenges on the spot,before the target is taped (9.6.1, 9.6.3, 9.6.4). Stay at least 3 feet away from all targets at all timesduring scoring and do not touch them (9.1.1, 9.1.2)! Scoring challenges will not be entertained norreshoots granted after a target is taped or reset (9.6.4). The Range Master’s ruling on any scoringdispute is final (9.6.5, 9.6.6). If you wish to protest the application of penalties (10.1.3) or some oth-er aspect of the scoring, do not sign the score sheet(9.7.3). Notify the Range Master, and file an arbi-tration request (11.3.1). If you file for arbitration, your score will still be processed, and will bechanged only upon a successful outcome (9.7.4).COME TO THE LINE PREPARED:Please show up on the line ready to shoot! If you show up without gun and/or gear when your nameis called you will be assumed to not be ready to shoot the COF and moved to the end of the queue,and the next shooter will be called to the line. Apologies, but we’re on a tight schedule here.CHANGING GUNS (5.1.8):Changing guns and/or sights without permission is deemed unsportsmanlike conduct (10.6). GunChange Request forms are available from any stage RORAIN COVERS:Paper targets & no-shoots will be protected with transparent plastic covers if there is rain. Rain co-vers are to be removed on order of the RM only (2.3.5); do not remove rain covers unless and untilinstructed to do so! Competitors may not protest this range maintenance action (2.3.5).STAGE SCORES & COMPETITOR INFORMATION:Competitor information, classifications, and competition divisions, along with interim and final stageresults, will be posted routinely online. We will of course do everything humanly possible to avoiderrors, but YOU are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of this information (9.6.3, 9.6.4, 9.7.4,9.8.1)! WE POST ALL THIS STUFF SO YOU – YES, YOU – CAN CHECK IT – please make it a point to doso. Pointing out a clerical error at the awards ceremony will get you a “we’re sorry,” (maybe) butthat is all – we will not hold up the awards ceremony or recalculate standings because you didn’tcheck and verify your information and/or scores during the match (9.8.1, 9.8.3). YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FULLY UNDERSTANDING THE CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OFEACH STAGE (3.1, 8.3.2)! Inspect each stage carefully and ask any questions during your walk-through (3.2, 8.3.2). Awards PolicyFor Each Division (Open, Limited, Limited 10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack): 1st -5th in GM, M, A, B, C, and D Classes 1st place in class will be awarded if there are 10 or more competitors in that class 2nd place in class will be awarded if there are 13 or more competitors in that class 3rd place in class will be awarded if there are 15 or more competitors in that class 4th place in class will be awarded if there are 18 or more competitors in that class 5th place in class will be awarded if there are 20 or more competitors in that class. High: Lady Senior Super Senior Junior Law Enforcement MilitaryA Division (Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack) must have at least 10competitors for a trophy to be awarded for that title.A Category (Female, Junior, Senior, Super Senior, L.E., Mil) must have at least 5 competitors for a tro-phy to be awarded for that title.Any shooter may win more than one trophy, i.e. one competitor could win Area 4 Division Champion and High Super Senior. Prize Table Policy Division winners get a Walther pistol Eligible Class winners will receive $100 Unclassified will not be recognized for any prize or trophy There will be some pistols that will be awarded raffle style. At registration you will receive a ticket, Winners will be drawn at lunch time. If you win a pistol you may not participate in the random drawings. At the end of Friday’s and Saturday’s shooting, please go and participate in the ran- dom drawing, located at the Pavilion. All prizes will be on display with a number as- signed. You will draw your own number. Please follow the instructions of the staff members organizing this event, they will assist you in gathering your winnings! You may refuse any prize and donate it back to the match, or to a Junior shooter. Horse trade if you wish, but you may not tamper with tickets, nor walk for anyone else. The individual shooter is responsible for their own random draw. Any disputes will result in no prize for that individual. There will be a proportionate number of prizes based on the number of shooters present each day of the match. There may not be enough for prizes for all competi- tors. Good luck! Sunday, we will award the division, class and category trophies. There will also be a random draw for a pistol to be awarded to a staff member.
