ACHIEVEMENTS AND AFFILIATIONS Billabong High International School is amongst the top CBSE, ICSE and Cambridge(CAIE) schools in India. At Billabong High International School we are committed to providing the highest standards of education, making us one of the top most and most trusted primary and secondary schools in India. This year the school has achieved the honour of becoming a Microsoft certified school. We were also awarded 'School Chain of the Year' at the global education awards 2019. The school has also become a SAT centre, being the only one in the city and the second one in Madhya Pradesh. Billabong High International School, Jabalpur, is ranked among India's Top 10 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) in the Education World Grand Jury Awards 2019-20. kkkkk A Grand Jury of well-informed educationists and educators including Meeta Sengupta (educationist and senior Advisor Centre for Civil Society, Delhi), Rohit Mohindra (Director of the Mumbai-based Raj Mohindra Consultants Pvt.Ltd), Damodar Prasad Goyal (President of the Society for Unaided Private Schools of Rajasthan), Fatima Agarkar (Co-Founder of KA EduAssociates) and Dr.K.R. Maalathi (Founder- CEO of AUURO Educational Services, Chennai) and Sumer Singh, (celebrated former Principal of Daly College, Indore) rated and ranked over 1,000 nominated schools in 11 categories. These schools were surveyed on sixteen rigorous parameters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH Hindi divas special assembly Specialized classroom session • The month was filled with enlightening sessions of the following activities: • Special assemblies by the students of grade 8,9& 10 to honour their teachers on teachers' day and to celebrate our national language Hindi on Hindi divas. An assembly urging the students to avoid using plastic was also conducted by the students. nkk • Interactive and specialized classroom sessions were conducted by a panel of specialized teachers who visited the school to tutor the students of grade 10 and train them for their upcoming board exams. • There were 4 Culminating Activities this month marking the completion of term 1 for grade1-4. The students were fortunate enough to experience the wonders of chocolate making through an activity wherein they were taught making chocolates and selling them out to parents in the culminating event. l • The school has recently adopted a new ERP, with a high quality schoolAPP. STUDENT COUNCIL The school conducted its first Investiture Ceremony on 3rd August, 2019. The newly invested captains and vice captains pledged to be dutiful and responsible in their leadership positions to the best of their abilities. The captains of the four houses along with the head boy and the head girl took an oath to abide by and uphold the school rules and regulations. Following students were chosen as the members of the council:

THE INTER-HOUSE COMPETITIONS • The Hindi Elocution was conducted on the September 2, 2019 for Grade 5 to 10 and Hindi Recitation for Grade 1 to 4 with Freedom House winning in Group A and Unity House in Group B and C. • On September 3, 2019, Basketball competition was organized for Grade 5 to 10 which was won by the Peace House. • On the same day, Hindi Anuchhed Lekhan was organized for Grade 3 to 8 with Equality House, Peace House and Unity House winning in Group A, B and C respectively. • A Maths Quiz Competition was conducted on September 6, 2019 for the juniors (Grade 1-5) and seniors (Grade 6-10). Each team had five participants. The first position was won by the Equality House for Senior Level, Unity House for Junior Level, Equality House in Grade II, Unity House in Grade I. • On September 19, 2019, Basketball competition was organized for Grade 5 to 10 which was won by the Peace House. KANGAROO KIDS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Highlights of the month COLOUR BOOTH DAY Introducing your child to the world of colours! n Everything in the environment has more than one quality. For example, an apple is red, has a sweet taste, a sweet smell and has a smooth texture with a certain weight. Since children are coming across a lot of different characteristics at the same time it will be confusing for them to focus and understand these abstract concepts. k With this sensorial material, our visual sense is targeted as we focus on discriminating between objects with the various colours that are their defining feature, we identify and relate to them accordingly. A pleasurable visual journey was arranged for our preschoolers of year 1 to reinforce the concept of colours.

Highlights of the month FESTIVAL CARNIVAL A culminating event is where students celebrate their learning . m Students of Junior K.G demonstrated their learning of Indian festivals through their performances and presentations at the “ FESTIVAL CARNIVAL”. j A colourful fete depicting, the various ways of celebrating different festivals pan India, as well as the yummy delights we associate with them were arranged for the parents. mm The event was conducted by the students which gave them a chance to build their confidence through public speaking.

Highlights of the month WORLD FEST DAY The event showcased the knowledge acquired by our Sr.K.G. students about the countries around the world. The parents were astounded by the information given by the students, right from a country's location on the globe, to their flags, to other national symbols, to their food, culture and traditions, our children know it all. n It also gave the students an opportunity for team work and collaboration. The parents were lead on a tour around the world as the various countries the children had studied about were showcased.

Highlights of the month CAR WASH DAY The splash of water and the enjoyment of cleaning the car was great fun. Playgroup children engaged in dramatic play and participated cooperatively with other children in car wash activity Teacher's Day Teacher’s Day was celebrated in the school on 5th September, 2019 and the celebration began at 9 am in the morning where a teacher and child dressed up as Dr. Radhakrishnan welcomed the school children.
