WHAT IS FINITE VERB? Verbs that show signs or actions of the subject in a sentence. Imagine that in one sentence there may be more than one word with the appearance of a verb, but only one verb is the true verb in the sentence. Which can change its form to agree with subject, tense, mood and voice.

FOR EXAMPLE Tense I am not playing game, but I am doing homework. (Change into verb added -ing according to present continuous tense) They have just finished their work. (Change to verb 3 as present present perfect tense) Subject She goes to work by car every day. (Subject as singular) Many people like going abroad. (Subject as plural)

FOR EXAMPLE Voice Sarah told me her secret. (active voice) I was told about this matter many times. (passive voice) Mood I recommended that they see a doctor. (subjunctive mood)

WHAT IS NON-FINITE VERB? Verbs that never change its form to agree with tense, subject, mood or voice and, will perform other functions in the sentence. Which will not act as a verb.

There are 3 types of non-verb in English 1. GERUND Gerund is a verb that adds ing (-ing) to act as a noun in a sentence such as Smoking isn’t allowed here. I try to avoid meeting him 3. PARTICIPLE Present Participle : The \"-ing\" ending Lee was the playing reserve. (adjective) We watched Lee playing rugby. (adjective) He is playing badly. (verb tense)

There are 3 types of non-verb in English Past Participle : Usually ends \"-ed,\" \"-d,\" \"-t,\" \"- en,\" or \"-n The set-piece played failed. (adjective) He has played two games. (verb tense) The set-piece was played by Lee. (verb tense) 2. INFINITIVE They are two types : 2.1 Infinitive with to - Infinitive with to consists of \"to + infinitive\" such as to be, to do, to walk, to wait, to come etc .- The negativity of infinitive with to is \"not + to + infinitive\" (put \"not\" in front of \"to\").

There are 3 types of non-verb in English - Infinitive with to, even if the form comes from the verb But it does not act as a verb. - Infinitive with to use to act as noun, adjective, adverb in the sentence. 2.2 Infinitive without to Verb that do not require \"To\" to precede such as come, go, run, play etc. I can to swim. I can swim. I hear the bird to sing. I hear the bird sing. I had better to go now. I had better go now.

TO SUM UP . . . FINITE NON-FINITE Indicate person, number, Does not indicate person, mood and tense number, mood, and tense. Have a definite relation with Do not change but remain the subject and can be constant with the change in changed according to tense tense or number or person. Types : Types : -present tense -present participle -past tense -past participle -infinitive Example -gerund I spoke to Loan last night. Example He plays football every evening. I spoke to Loan last night. He plays football every evening.
