All Core Course Syllabi Should: (3.31.2016 slide)1. Indicate that the course is part of the BW Core. ECN 100, 101, 102 meets the Social Science Perspectives requirement of the BW Core ECN 150 meets the Interdisciplinary Perspectives requirement of the BW Core. ECN 279 meets the Quantitative Extension requirement of the BW Core. ECN 464 meets the Writing Extension requirement of the BW Core.2. Clearly state the Core element that the course addresses. Tell students that the course is Social Science Perspective or Interdisciplinary or Quantitative Extension or Writing Extension. See 1 above.3. Indicate the Undergraduate Learning Outcomes that the course addresses. Aspects of the course that develop critical thinking, teamwork, etc. should be obvious to the students. See Table above for the associated University Learning Objectives (ULOs).4. Contain the same information about Core and Core elements across sections and instructors.
