Trainer’s Notes “Nellie the Elephant” One day, Nellie the elephant decided to go on vacation to the seaside in Hawaii. He excitedly packed his trunks into a trunk and headed out the door. His trunk was in the air and he had on a huge smile. Nellie was indeed very happy. As he was walking towards the trunk road, he sat for a moment on a fallen tree trunk to catch his breath. He made a trunk call to his sister to tell her that he was on the way. Then, he got up and walked to his taxi which was already waiting. He put his trunk into the trunk of the car and told the driver, “Let’s hurry up, man. I’ve got a flight to catch.” Heteronyms Words that spell the same but sound different and have different meanings. 1. Axes AKsiz- more than one ax or axe; AKseez- the plural of axis 2.
