ROOTS & WINGS WORKSHOP What are the essential tools and mindsets you need to thrive in a future ofconstant change and disruption? Experience NUS’s groundbreaking Roots & Wings programme. CRYSTAL LIM LEAHY | Director, Centre for Future-ready Graduates, NUS Expert communicator and leader with 16 years of experience in client advisory andmanagement roles across holistic education, human capital and finance sectors. Crystal is the Director of the Centre for Future-ready Graduates at the National University ofSingapore, which assists students in developing their fullest potential. In January 2016, she pioneered Roots & Wings, an innovative foundational life skills programme for 2,100 freshmen students covering the basics of focus, self-awareness, interpersonaleffectiveness and defining ones values and visions. Roots & Wings will form an essential and distinctive part of the NUS education and will expand to 5,000+ students a year. Prior to this, Crystal was the Founding Director of groundbreaking holistic education and training startup Legacy Retreat, recognised as a global pioneer in personaldevelopment and coaching. A powerful motivational public speaker on learning and self development topics, she has been ranked by attendees of Womens Leadership Summit 2015 as one of the best speakers and was the closing speaker at the Women Inspiring Change Forum 2014. Crystal is also a passionate and dedicated young philanthropist with experience raising funds for a wide variety of causes ranging from autism, Alzheimers, hospice care and the arts. In 2012, she was a sponsor for non-profit organisation Smiling Mind Australia, which teaches mindfulness to young people and has had its curriculum adopted in 5,000 schools and institutions across Australia.

ROOTS & WINGS WORKSHOP DR GREGOR LANGE | Consultant, Roots & Wings Programme, NUS Gregor is a German-born, Irish- and American trained clinical psychologist. His work experiences include working in public health care services (Ireland), privateclinics (Ireland, USA, Vietnam), and lecturing at Universities (Ireland & Singapore). He has also worked as an independent consultant, researcher, and author. Gregor has been working with children, families, couples and individual adults with avariety of problems for more than 10 years. His work includes helping diverse people dealwith difficult emotions, family and relationship problems, stress, and other psychological or behavioural difficulties.He has integrated various mindfulness practices into his work (e.g. ACT) and completedthe MBCT teacher training with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. He also developed andtaught a module on Mindful Psychology at NUS and he has been involved in developing and teaching the CFG Roots & Wings programme.

PETER ONG | Founder, Rested Edge Advisory From 1994 to early 2010, Peter was with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Andersen Consulting/Accenture and Gallup. When Peter Ong stepped out of his comfort zone to create his own company Rested Edge Advisory at the age of 40, he was Managing Partner of Gallup SIN, HK and South-East Asia and seemingly at the top of hiscareer, but Peter wanted to do something different from a standard corporate career –he wanted to create and build Rested Edge Advisory (his company) and One Dream Initiative (his charity), both at the same time, whilst striving for his KPI in 9 words – “Do best work, build best home, live best life”. Time flies, Rested Edge Advisory is 6 years old, with 51 clients, of which 6-8 are active at any one time. Through Rested Edge Advisory, Peter provides Leadership/Team Development, Executive Coaching, Talent Acceleration, Strategic Visioning, ChangeManagement, People Leadership & EQ / Social Intelligence Development, and Business Advisory services & programs.Peter also teaches BMA5405 Managing Change, a 13-week module at the MBA level forNUS Business School. Peter is a Board Member of Transit Link where he also chairs the Audit & Risk Management Committee. He is a District Councillor with Central Singapore CDC and is part of the School Advisory Committee for Hougang Secondary School.

MRS NOOR QUEK | Founder & CEO, NQ International Noor Quek has almost 40 years of experience in a broad range of banking and financial services with various established institutions. Her previous positions, all based in Singapore, with regional responsibilities, include being Director and Head, Business Development (South East Asia), The Citigroup Private Bank, Director, Business Development (South East Asia), GE Capital and Deputy Managing Director, Rabobank Asia Ltd (Merchant Bank). Her main area of expertise is in initiating, negotiating and facilitating implementation of wealth advisory and financial transactions. She is a speaker/moderator in major international conferences on global wealth advisory and family office advisory matters. She is based in Singapore and founded NQ International in October 2007. NQ International Pte Ltd's not-for-profit activities include various charity-related activities which Noor is actively involved with. Noor is currently, among others, a founding member and current President of Breast Cancer Foundation, a Board Member of The Ireland Fund, Singapore Chapter, Board Member, ISCA Cares (Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants), member of the Woman's Health Advisory Council, Singapore, and a was joint co-chairman of BoardAgender in Singapore, and a member of the inquiry committee of the Singapore Dental Council and the Law Society, Singapore.

Chandran is a regular speaker at the World Economic Forum (WEF), APEC Summits, OECD events and various UN conferences. He is a member of WEF’s Global Agenda Council on Governance for Sustainability. Chandran was chairman of Environmental Resources Management (ERM) in Asia Pacific until 2004, establishing the company as Asia’s leading environmental consultancy. He has served as Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.Chandran is the author of Consumptionomics: Asia's Role in Reshaping Capitalism andSaving the Planet which was ranked as one of the top-fifty breakout capitalism books byThe Guardian and has been translated into Chinese, German and Bahasa.
