These include A/AS levels, BTECs and other vocationaland academic qualifications. For more information on these courses, please go to the websitewww.stvincent.ac.uk or request a main college prospectus.Course Fees, Payment and Financial SupportCourse fees vary depending on the type and length of the course and whether it leads to aqualification. The fees quoted are current at the time of publication but may be changed at any timeup to the date of enrolment. Please refer to our fees policy for further details.Other FeesYou may have to pay for books, equipment, materials, photocopying or certificates. Additionalfees and individual course requirements will be explained in the relevant course leaflet. If you joina course that leads to an examination/accreditation, you may have to pay an examination fee onenrolment or during the course.Are You Entitled to a Free Course?If you are an adult who does not already have a full Level 2 qualification (i.e. you do not have 5 GCSEsat grades A* – C, an NVQ at Level 2 or equivalent qualification) you may qualify for free tuition onour programmes. Financial SupportChildcare SupportThe childcare element of Discretionary Learner Support Funding exists specifically to supportindividuals aged 20+ who choose to return to education. The fund is available to those with childcarerequirements, who would not otherwise be able to study if funding was not available to them.Application forms containing details of eligibility criteria are available from the Finance Office in theStudent Services Centre.St Vincent Financial Support SchemeFor students aged 19 – 23 years old on 1 September 2015. Application forms containing details ofeligibility criteria are available from the Finance Office in the Student Services Centre.24+ Advanced Learning Loans for courses at Level 3 or Level 4If you are aged 24 or over you are now able to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan to help you payyour college tuition fees for courses at Level 3 or Level 4. These loans have been introduced to helpthose who may not want/be able to pay their course fees in full at the start of their course.The loan is not means tested, there are no upfront cost or credit checks and they have low rates ofinterest attached. Repayment on a loan for course fees does not start until you have completed yourcourse and are earning more than £21,000 a year.For further information on loans go to www.gov.uk/advanced-learning-loansFor more information on the college courses, please contact 023 9258 3890.Overseas Student – Non EU ResidentIf you have lived outside the European Economic Area during the last three years you may beconsidered as an overseas learner, in which case higher fee rates will be payable.Minimum Enrolment NumberIf a course does not have enough learners enrolled it may not run. We will inform you of any changesas soon as possible.Cancellation of a SessionOnce a course has commenced and if a session has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond ourcontrol, every effort will be made to make up for lost time. This may mean holding the session onanother day, but this cannot be guaranteed.RefundsStudents will be expected to have fully researched the course they are applying for before they enrolin terms of its suitability and any requirements that there might be in following it. If, after two weeks,you are unhappy with your course, we will transfer you to another that is more suitable to yourneeds if available.v For short term courses of less than one year, there is no eligibility to apply for a refund of course fees.However, we will refund course fees in the following circumstances:v Where the college cancels a course, for example, due to insufficient numbers to make the course viable.v We reserve the right to delay or change start or finish dates if we are obliged to do so. Only if such a change includes a change of day or venue will repayment of fees be possible.We regret that no refunds will be given in any other circumstances.Please note: All information is correct at time of publication but may be subject to change.

You can study the course either full time over a year or part-time over two years.
