Report on UI_UX-webinar

21th August, 2022 DETAILS: IEEE Student Branch of Thakur College of Engineering and Technology organized webinar on UI/UX Design on 13th of August, 2022. The main aim was to make students gain more knowledge on the topic and its future scope. PARTICIPANTS: Second, Third, and Final Year students of the college. OBJECTIVES: ● Learn about UI/UX, the future of scope. ● To make students understand about various advantages of UI/UX its importance in the near future. FACULTY INVOLVED: Mr. Deepak S. Shete - Faculty In-charge IEEE, E&TC, Mrs. Aradhana Manekar - Faculty In-charge IEEE, E&TC. EVENT DESCRIPTION: A Technical Webinar on UI/UX Design was organized by IEEE-TCET on 13th August 2022 for the students of SE, TE, and BE of the college. The platform used for this session was Zoom Conferencing. The speaker for this session was Ms. Tharani Subramanian. The event started at 3:15 pm, all the students joined and Ms. Shriya Gupta commenced the session with the opening speech introducing the speaker for the day Ms. Tharani, specialized in designing End-to-End Mobile app & Web with delightful Micro-Interaction. The speaker began the session by introducing herself, where she covered points like how her journey began and how she chose this as her profession and began explaining the topic in depth with her interactive presentation and elaborated on the basic difference between user experience and user interface. The speaker also introduced the students to a design tool - Figma which is used to create websites, applications, logos and much more. Starting off with introducing figma and continued with the basic application of the tools. The students got a hands-on experience which was definitely a great addition to their learning. Once the presentation concluded, the table was opened for questions from the participants, which were profoundly answered by our speaker. To conclude the session, Ms. Radhika Tamhankar gave the vote of thanks, in which she expressed, on behalf of IEEE-TCET and the students, gratitude to Ms. Tharani Subramanian for delivering such an informative webinar.
