Who is Julia Donaldson? BORN: 1948, London, England EDUCATION: Studied drama and French at Bristol University. OCCUPATION: Author, song writer, playwright and teacher. INTERESTING FACTS: In 1993 her song, A Squash and a Squeeze was made into a book. Since then she has written more than 100 books including The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale and Zog. Julia has worked with many illustrators such as Axel Scheffler, Lydia Monks, Nick Sharratt and David Roberts.
