Congratulations to our honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Government for achieving \"SDGs Progress Award\" Between 2015-2020, Bangladesh achieved the largest increase in SDG Index Score. Largest! This advancement has received its due recognition as the UN-sponsored 'Sustainable Development Solutions Network' (UNSDSN) conferred the 'SDG Progress Award' to Bangladesh at the sidelines of the 76th UNGA. In particular the award highlighted Bangladesh's steady course in responding to the universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all. The SDSN, set up in 2012 under the auspices of the UN secretary general, mobilizes global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. The SDSN works closely with United Nations agencies, multilateral financing institutions, the private sector, and civil society. *Source: BSS & Prothom Alo
