CHOICE AND DOMO AWARDED BY FAST COMPANY. CHOICE Humanitarian and Domo were honored as a Finalist in Fast Company’s 2021 World Changing Idea Awards for using data to combat poverty. To help understand the dimensions of poverty in Nepal, CHOICE conducted a baseline survey of 13,000 families in 180 small villages and designed 80 questions around demography, health, education, family income, and happiness—the first of its kind in humanitarian work. Using the Domo platform to review and leverage the survey results helped CHOICE support local efforts to reduce poverty in the area from 20% to 5.4%. CHOICE was honored to have receive this award together with Domo in recognition of the strategic use of data, technology, and information to address global challenges. VISION MANISDSION 45

46

VISION We envision a world in which people everywhere have the choice and the means to live in peace, prosperity and freedom. 47

MISSION CHOICE Humanitarian supports the efforts of people around the world to reduce global poverty and build self-reliant, resilient communities. VALUES Collaborative: We collaborate with academia, business and corporate partners, foundations, community leaders, and local governments to ensure sufficient resources to meet great challenges and achieve shared goals. Problem-driven/solution-focused: We listen and respond to our partners’ felt needs with collectively developed solutions to complex social and economic problems. Unifying: We celebrate diversity and cultural uniqueness by bridging divides through meaningful exchanges among peoples from vastly different socio-economic backgrounds. Innovative: We work with local partners to develop strategies and programs that help isolated, rural communities participate in the global economy by using technology more creatively. Transparent: We measure results and impact, using evidence to adapt as needed, and actively share our learning through regular reports and engagement with others. Inclusive: We invite the full participation of all people, especially women, youth, and local leaders to address poverty and inequality. Impactful: CHOICE seeks return on investment that transforms lives. We see people everywhere for their untapped potential, not merely as people needing help. 48

IGNEVTOLVED THE PATH OUT OF POVERTY STARTS WITH CHOICE. 1.3 billion people living in global poverty wake up every morning with limited or no options. They lack basic human needs—food, water, housing, healthcare, education, economic opportunities, and more. It’s devastating that families and individuals face this reality. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There is a solution, and it’s simple: give a community just one more choice, and you open up possibilities for a better future. Whether you are a long-time cherished member of the CHOICE family or it’s your first time connecting with us, we believe that together, we can expand choice and create powerful change. 49

For nine years, dōTERRA has been a valuable Corporate Partner as we have worked together to reduce rural poverty. As 2021 proved to be another difficult year worldwide, especially for underserved communities already facing the challenges of multidimensional poverty, dōTERRA Healing HandsTM jumped in with both feet to support CHOICE Humanitarian efforts to reduce global poverty and build self-reliant, resilient communities. One of the largest undertakings dōTERRA supported was the construction of the Gokulganga Hospital in Ramechhap, Nepal, which was fully completed in 2021. A festive inauguration was held in January to commemorate this momentous achievement. The hospital is located in one of dōTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing areas of Nepal and is expected to benefit over 50,000 people from the Gokulganga Rural Municipality and surrounding townships. Before Gokulganga Municipality, dōTERRA Healing Hands, and CHOICE Humanitarian combined efforts to fund and build this new medical facility, the closest hospital to Ramechhap was at least a two-day journey on foot. Such travel was costly and impossible for the injured or sick, especially during the global pandemic. This radical improvement in access to healthcare is one vital component to addressing the many dimensions of poverty. Since becoming operational, the new hospital has vitalized development in the village and surrounding communities where families are building new or improved homes and community members are starting businesses. In addition, the municipality is improving infrastructure near the hospital, making it more accessible. And in the future, a new water supply project, also sponsored by dōTERRA Healing Hands, will bring an uninterrupted water supply to the hospital, the local school, the government office, and the villages nearby. The hope sparked by the new hospital is affecting the entire region. However, for dōTERRA Healing Hands constructing one hospital wasn’t enough in a region of such need. Once the Gokulganga Hospital was finished, dōTERRA immediately contributed to a new health post in Agra Makwanpur, Nepal. The original Agra Health Post was destroyed during the 2015 earthquake and forced to relocate to the same building as the birthing center, a small and already overcrowded space. While the new health post is being constructed, the current make-shift center is able to provide services to around 9,000 people in an atmosphere that poses significant risk of infection and contamination to pregnant women, newborns, and mothers. While there is a primary healthcare center in Palung, it takes six hours to arrive at the facility by foot or at least two hours by public transportation—neither of which is consistent nor reliable. The new health post currently under construction will provide a safe and hygienic space for the community. 55

Elsewhere in Nepal, dōTERRA Healing Hands also participated in the reconstruction of Bharati Sadan Secondary School in Balithum, Lamjung. This initiative facilitates a safe, child-friendly environment for learning and, as a result, greater impact on the educational quality for the students. The school serves approximately 300 students, mainly from marginalized communities. dōTERRA Healing Hands has supported social and economic development in other countries as well. In Guatemala, dōTERRA provided valuable funding for a Cardamom Production Revitalization project. The project has been focused on increasing cardamom production in Limón Yalicar, Chisec, thereby creating a source of employment and income generation in the local community, while at the same time promoting environment-friendly production techniques. Project activities are focused on providing trainings in plant reproduction and cultivation of cardamom so families in this underserved region have the resources they need to establish and grow new businesses. The project also seeks to engage new markets that were once beyond the reach of this population. The project will go a long way towards countering the effects of the recent natural disasters that have dramatically impacted cardamom production in the region, especially in the municipality of Chisec. These are just a few of the ways dōTERRA Healing Hands, teaming with CHOICE Humanitarian, empowers people and communities worldwide to be healthy, safe and self-reliant. In addition to these inspiring highlights from the field, dōTERRA Healing Hands provided financial support to many other CHOICE programs in 2021. dōTERRA corporate has also offered other forms of charitable support through dōTERRA’s Co-Impact Sourcing program which creates long- term supplier partnerships on every level of the supply chain, generating sustainable jobs, and providing a reliable source of income for thousands of families working hard to find a path out of poverty. 56

5 years ago, the ASEA Advancing Life Foundation and CHOICE Humanitarian began a successful collaboration of working together to accomplish the missions of each foundation. Over the years we have taken the IntaKara Vocational Center from the initial concept to the construction phase, to the opening of the school. Our collaboration has provided man power through the six expeditions over 4 years, as well as needed funding for the project. “It has been very rewarding to watch the community grow through each phase of the project, to watch their skepticism turn into hopes and dreams, and now those dreams are becoming a reality for the graduating students. The change has not been one sided, expeditioners have left Ecuador with new perspectives, with renewed focus on what is truly important in life, and with refreshed visions of how one can impact the world for good! These expeditioners have returned home and have been able to overcome personal struggles because of the insights they gained while working side by side with the villagers and living in their communities. How beautiful it is when you can walk into an experience of service filled with rich cultural exchanges and both sides leave a better person. How do you put a value on this type of exchange? You can’t, it is impossible, it is too valuable!” KimMarie Larsen, ASEA Advancing Life Foundation Chair Christopherson Business Travel is the independently-owned leader in intelligent corporate travel management. Christopherson is ranked by Business Travel News as the 12th largest corporate travel agency in the United States. In addition to our voluntary employee contributions and matching program, Christopherson annually sends a group of employees on a week-long humanitarian expedition. We are also proud to support CHOICE’s local events and fundraising efforts by regularly participating as an event sponsor. 57 57

US Synthetic, a ChampionX company, is the leading provider of polycrystalline diamond cutters (PDCs) and diamond bearing technology for the energy industry and for oil and gas exploration. Thanks to constant innovation, proven quality, and superior customer service, more of the world’s energy suppliers rely on US Synthetic than any other PDC manufacturer. US Synthetic has spent decades engineering its products to last longer—especially in tough conditions that test the limits of the most durable energy exploration and drilling equipment. US Synthetic has a vision of Improving Lives; that includes the lives of our customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, and our community. We live in an ever-expanding global community, and our ongoing partnership with CHOICE Humanitarian has helped us to reach farther around the world. By growing our employee payroll giving, which is matched dollar for dollar by the company, and then enabling employees to follow those donations through an annually sponsored expedition, our employees have engaged in not only improving the lives of villagers through CHOICE, but their own lives have been enriched and improved. We hope to continue to work with CHOICE in improving lives at home and abroad for many more years to come. The pandemic has affected each person, each community in unique and challenging ways. Grandeur has been impressed with the way the CHOICE Humanitarian team has been successful in carrying out its mission, even with the added challenges of a global health crisis. We applaud the efforts of the leadership at home as well as the in-country leaders who have been a life-line to communities at risk. When global travel seemed unlikely to return to “normal” in the near term, we noted that the CHOICE Team was quick to identify ways to help closer to home, by reaching out to the Navajo Nation. We continue to value our partnership with CHOICE Humanitarian and look forward to renewing our tradition of company-sponsored expeditions, whether that means helping around the globe or in our own backyard. While much has changed in the last couple of years, we know that the CHOICE model of locally-driven initiatives, implemented around the globe through sustainable leadership development, continue to benefit communities at risk worldwide. 59
