ADVANTAGES OF WILD FRUITS 1. Nutrition values and pharmaceutical potential far outweigh normal cultivated (including organic) fruits. (Hegazi et al. 2013). 2. Natural Antioxidant enzymes & Immuno-protective capacities of wild fruits are much higher because they need to survive in harsh environment without insecticides, herbicides, fungicides (organic or chemical inclusive). 3. Cultivated fruits will be planted on the same piece of soil again and again. Hence, nutritive value will be greatly diminished especially after repeated cycles of cultivation. 4. Commercial Cultivation of fruits are monogenous (only 1 type of fruit) and condensed in a limited land area. This greatly affects the nutritive contents of the fruits. On the other hand, wild fruits are harvested amongst a large variety of other plants, and in very large, natural areas. This greatly increases the phytonutrients availability of our raw materials. 5. Zero human intervention until harvesting. Cultivated fruits (even organically) will contain some form of human intervention to maximise produce; like fertilizers, pesticides, pollution etc. Any form of human intervention will affect the nutritive values of the fruits of its purest form. Page 2
Noni Green Papaya Coconut TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS OF PRODUCING BIO REX® NONI BIO REX® NONI is produced through the carefully controlled fermentation of selected tropical plants widely used in traditional Asian medicine; Its main ingredients are ripe NONI fruits (Morinda citrifolia L.), with minor percentages of green wild PAPAYA fruits (Carica papaya L.) and concentrated COCONUT milk (Cocos nucifera L.), harvested in wild, untouched tropical forest on Philippino hills. The ripe fruit of Morinda citrifolia, a bush belonging to Rubiaceae family, is indigenous as a wild plant and commonly found in a vast geographical area in the South East Asian region. Since ancient times, it represents a leading medicinal plant in Ayurveda, Chinese, Polynesian, Australian, and Nicobare medicinal systems. The mixture of fruits cut in pieces are fermented in stainless steel containers, in a controlled aerobic atmosphere, by selected Page 3
internationally patented strains of yeast and lactobacteria (Saccharomyces sp., Lactobacillus sp.) for 60-90 days. The carefully chosen strains of yeast and probiotics is the vital parameter in order to optimally extract the nutrients profile from the fruits. This is one of our Key Distinctive Features that give us competitive advantage compared to other supplements. BIO REX® NONI fermentation process is meticulously monitored and numerous laboratory tests are being done along the way to ensure that the fermentation process is completed. Our team of researchers have spent decades of researching and fine-tuning to enhance our distinctive fermentation procedures. The syrup obtained is then filtered and packaged under vacuum in hermetically sealed, light- protected, 7 grams sachets. In its final concentrated form, BIO REX® NONI appears as a mildly sweet-sour dark-brown gelatine. Page 4
This airless packaging, along with the natural content of NONI and green PAPAYA organic acids - concentrated by the fermentation process – along with the natural acidity of the final gelatine, guarantees the microbiological safety and the thorough preservation of active ingredients during shelf life, without any potentially toxic physical or chemical preservatives. BIO REX® NONI NUTRIENTS PROFILE The fermentation technology frees - by means of both microbe and fruit hydrolytic enzymatic action - the countless bioactive compounds contained in the pulp and the juice of the fruits mixture, performing a partial digestion of the fruit flesh macromolecules - carbohydrates, proteins, lipo-/glyco-proteins, complex lipids and nucleic acids - into a concentrated pool of bio-active molecules with lower molecular weight, belonging to the main chemical types of short polypeptides, amino acids, nucleotides, organic acids and short sugars, nutritional vitamins, bioactive flavonoids, lignanes, fitosterols, carotenoids, medium/short-chained fatty acids and their esthers, anthraquinones, cumarins, vanilloids, oligo- and polysaccharides (pectins), thiols, microelements (potassium, calcium, phosphorus sodium, magnesium, zinc, selenium). To provide effective health benefits, the inclusion of high-value fruits in the diet requires high daily dosages, with consequent elevated Page 5
intake of highly caloric and glycogenic sugars, and implies a rather significant risk of allergic reactions in the predisposed adult subjects, or in the immunologically-immature paediatric age. The same holds true for the first-generation of freeze-dried fruit-based concentrated formulations, which retain entirely in the final product the load of glycogenic sugars added due to the lyophilization technology. Conversely, BIO REX® NONI is a minimal-volume-concentrated nutraceutical, obtained through a fully natural - though carefully technologically-controlled - procedure. The final preparation does not contain the high amounts of unnecessary nutritional sugars, almost entirely consumed upon fermentation, and therefore can be safely consumed also by hyperglycaemic or diabetic patients. BIO REX® NONI is more digestible, bioavailable, directly assimilated and, most importantly, it is safely non-allergenic. In fact, upon fermentation, all the potentially immunogenic macromolecules are degraded to their smaller active components, with multiplied health- beneficial efficacy. In addition, this natural technological fruit processing releases mineral micro-nutrients from their plant - phytate complexes, with resulting increased absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. Also, this highly bio-active fruit preparation is additionally enriched with specific anti-oxidants, vitamins and polysaccharide immune- Page 6
stimulants (cell membranes fragments and lipo-/glyco-peptide small molecules). Fermentation also enhances the pro-digestive properties of the preparation through the enriched fermenting agents’ and fruit’s fractions of hydrolytic enzymes, and of the low-molecular-weight organic mono- and dicarboxylic acid (acetic, citric, malic, glycolic, succinic acids). The final product BIO REX® NONI is hence a complex mixture of more than 200 natural bio-active compounds, wholly bio-available, concentrated in 7 grams of gelatin. The product’s content is highly standardized through a strictly-controlled technological process, so that different batches of BIO REX® NONI do not differ by more than 5% for every single leading component. Page 7
BIO REX® NONI BIOACTIVE INGREDIENTS In the NONI fruit, around 200 bioactive compounds have been reported. The ripe fruit is especially rich in proteins and astonishingly rich list of complex plant secondary metabolite structures with specific medicinal properties. These belong to the main chemical families of glycosilated or aglycone polyphenols, anthraquinones, bioflavonoids, phenylpropanoids, iridoids, lignans, polyterpenes, phytosterols, sugar-esterified medium and short-chained fatty acids, mono- and di- glycerides, polysaccharides. As said, fermentation processing pre- digests the fruit high-weight macromolecular components to their easily absorbable and less caloric break-down products, whilst preserving and concentrating NONI’s and other fruits’ qualified precious secondary-metabolite bioactive fractions, which are not substrates of microbial hydrolytic activity. A large number of these NONI ripe-fruit components, mainly phenolic compounds, organic acids and alkaloids of biomedical relevance have been identified, classified, and described in terms of chemical structure-biological activity, by a solid scientific and medical literature in the last two decades. To quote only the most relevant molecules so far identified in terms of unique health properties, a specific polysaccharide-rich fraction, containing mainly the simple sugars Page 8
glucuronic acid, galactose, arabinose, and rhamnose, has been identified. A list of unique trisaccharide fatty acid esters (named noniosides), along with the phenolics damnachanthal (an anthraquinone, in traces in the fruit) Americanin A (a neolignan), narcissoside (a flavonol glycoside), scopoletin and isoscopoletin (coumarins), aesculetin, asperulosidic acid (iridoid) and the well described biologically active flavonoids rutin and quercetin, and many active phytosterols and terpenoids, were found to be potent antioxidants, free radical neutralizers, detoxifiers, lipid- and energy metabolism enhancers and regulators, antiinflammatory, immune-stimulants, apoptosis inducers, tumor and vascular cell proliferation suppressors, cell transformation inhibitors., antibiotics. COCONUT milk provides a specific component of lipasic and phospholipasic enzymes, facilitating lipid metabolism, and specific fatty acids with potent antimicrobial action. As for vitamin content of BIO REX® NONI, the richest ones from NONI are provitamin A and vitamin C. It is relevant to observe that the natural β-carotene chemical structure makes the β-carotene of vegetable origin nutritionally more valuable than the synthetic industrial forms, being more readily metabolized in the cell, and its biological value being better preserved in the preparation due to the synergistic effect Page 9
from other carotenes of natural fruit, α-carotene, cryptoxanthins, etc. The potent lipidic antioxidants coenzyme Q and vitamin E are contributed by WILD PAPAYA fruit and yeasts. BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES of BIO REX® NONI FOR CHRONIC HUMAN DISEASE CONTROL AND PATIENTS’ QUALITY OF LIFE BIO REX® NONI is able to restore the physiological balance of the basic metabolic processes in the body, so that it can be successfully used for the prevention and in treatment of a large number of diseases. The vast literature on the NONI pro-health and healing effects reported in the different Asian medicine traditions, has gained a very solid scientific base in the last two decades, through an overwhelming amount of experimental data gathered on the different biological properties of NONI fruit, especially related to the main biological features of chronic inflammatory human pathologies. BIO REX® NONI displays distinctive and enhanced: antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties, anti-inflammatory action, lipid modulating action, immunomodulating action, neuroprotective action, pain-killer action, energizing effects, anti-microbial action directed against viral, fungal, bacterial, and parasitic infective agents. Page 10
Hence, BIO REX® NONI is able to maintain homeostasis of basic metabolic processes in human organism, and therefore it can be recommended as a supportive care and a quality of life enhancer in most common chronic diseases. Specific beneficial preventive and healing effects of BIO REX® NONI are indeed clinically proven, in particular on a group of frequent chronic diseases with strong disabling impact both clinically and in the quality of everyday life, namely cardiovascular diseases, metabolic syndrome/obesity and diabetes, and their neurological consequences. BIO REX® NONI have also been shown to be helpful in the prevention and alleviation of a number of common cancer forms. PHYSIOLOGICAL REGULATOR OF BASIC METABOLISM BIO REX® NONI is a physiological regulator of basic metabolism, and in particular lowers blood cholesterol, inhibits blood lipid oxidation, is a potent free radical neutralizer and inhibitor of cell oxidative damage. By suppressing chronic levels of inflammation in the peripheral blood vessel walls, by accelerating the blood vessel endothelium regeneration, by suppressing inflammation, and by normalizing lipid metabolism. Regular consumption of BIO REX® NONI is recommended as a powerful tool to inhibit the onset or slow the progression of atherosclerosis. Page 11
Clinical studies have shown that the controlled NONI fruit administration normalizes excess cholesterol, in particular HDL “bad” cholesterol, triglycerides, blood inflammatory proteins and myocardial infarction risk factors in heavy smokers with severe hyperlipidemia. These effects, shown after only one month of regular consumption, are attributed to the unique NONI iridoid active fraction. Particularly relevant to these clinical effects are the biochemical capability of NONI (glycosides/ flavonol-glycosides iridoids, lignan components) to inhibit blood LDL-oxidation toxicity, a key atherogenic factor, which has been attributed to both a direct free radical scavenging activity of the preparation, and to its marked lipoxygenase and cyclooxygenase activities. NONI also exerts a direct protective effect on endothelial cells from the cytotoxic hydroperoxides produced by extensive LDL oxidation. Notably, damnacanthal, a trace anthraquinone component of NONI fruit, has been shown to contribute to BIO REX® NONI remarkable anti-inflammatory action through the suppression of nuclear factor-kB (NF-kB) activity response, with resulting inhibition of the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, cyclooxygenase-2, and inducible nitric oxide synthase. Page 12
MANAGE TYPE-2 DIABETES Type 2 diabetes is associated with increased glucose production due to the inability of insulin to suppress hepatic gluconeogenesis and promote glycolysis. Insulin inhibits gluconeogenesis by modulating transcription factors such as forkhead box O (FoxO1). A specific research published in the British Journal of Nutrition concluded that supplementation with Fermented NONI (fNJ) inhibited weight gain and improved glucose and insulin tolerance and fasting glucose in animal study model. The research data suggest that Fermented NONI improves glucose metabolism via FoxO1 regulation in diabetic patients. If assumed on a regular basis, BIO REX® NONI stands as an elective preventive and co-treatment support for life impairing and quality of Page 13
life-reducing diabetic complications. In addition, the documented xantineoxidase inhibitory activity of NONI fruit juice has proven effective in the amelioration of gout and gout-like disease diabetic complications. PREVENT HEART DISEASE BIO REX® NONI is also clinically effective in the prevention and treatment of myocardial, cerebral, renal, and retinal ischemia. By enabling restoration of a physiological blood supply (through different documented mechanisms), by reducing blood vessel tone and peripheral resistance (through both a spasmolytic and direct vasodilator action on both endothelium and muscle), by reversing the \"ischemia-reperfusion\" pattern leading to vascular constriction, and thus protecting affected tissues from the relative strong oxidative damage, by an effective inhibition of glucose intolerance under ischemic stress through insulin stimulation. Finally, by decreasing neuronal damage scores in an experimental model of cerebral focal ischemia, BIO REX® NONI provides effective prevention and management of cardiac insufficiency, angina pectoris, infarction and stroke of vital organs, and protection against ischemia- induced central and peripheral complications. Page 14
BIO REX® NONI is clinically effective in the control of hypertension, by directly lowering arterial blood pressure, decreasing peripheral vessels resistance, increasing capillary blood flow. Its diuretic properties enhance its hypotensive effects. In addition, BIO REX® NONI is clinically effective in the prevention and management of diabetes mellitus induced heart problems. By suppressing the protein- glycation reaction and consequent vital tissue damage, by accelerating wound-healing process, by lowering blood cholesterol and glucose levels, and by inhibiting lipid oxidative damage in blood flow and target vascular tissues. EFFECTIVE NATURAL PAIN-KILLER The pain killing (anti-nociceptive) effect, demonstrated in controlled clinical studies on cancer patients, along with marked anxiolytic and sedative effects, are supportive of the amelioration of the quality of life in these chronic patients, also enabling the facilitation of cognitive processes, and memory improvement. CANCER-PREVENTIVE NONI’s cancer chemo-preventive effect has been described in some thirty human and animal model researches so far. The promotion of these clinical studies was based on the large and solid body of over 300 scientific articles reporting laboratory evidences on the immune- Page 15
stimulating potency of NONI fruit, namely of its rich anthraquinone and polyterpenoid fractions. These families of active compounds, sensibly concentrated in the preparation following fermentation process, are able to affect the modulation of many pathways distinctive of the human immune anticancer function. A controlled clinical study on heavy smokers has shown that NONI fruit consumption was able to reduce DNA damage (adducts) in the peripheral blood lymphocytes, a validated biomarker for the prediction of environmental-driven cancer risk. A further controlled clinical study was able to demonstrate a consistent decrease of pain perception in advanced cancer patients. NONI was also found effective in the reduction of advanced gastric cancer in two published patient cases. According to laboratory cellular tests, NONI offers potential to be used as a chemo-adjuvant, especially for the treatment of human papilloma-induced cervical cancer. Several laboratory studies have also shown that NONI not only exerts by itself a significant cytotoxic and apoptotic effect, but is also able to synergize the therapeutic efficacy of conventional anticancer drugs like cisplatin or doxorubicin. The cytotoxic effect of Noni juice has Page 16
been attributed to the unique of chemical compounds such as damnacanthal and alkaloids. To the NONI polyphenolic fraction, and especially to the fruit iridoid glycosides, there have been attributed a multiplicity of effects on the recovery of cell-mediated immunity, suppressed in cancer status, for eg. the increase of peripheral blood granulocytes, the stimulation of IL-2 production, and of natural killer activity in cancer-bearing animals. Beneficial effects are also to be anticipated in the medically-controlled administration to cancer patients, especially in the early stages, with main beneficial outcomes expected on pain scores, on chemo- /radiotherapy side-toxicity and tissue damage, especially on liver and kidney damage protection. WHY TAKING BIO REX® NONI IF YOU ARE HEALTHY? Most of the biological actions resulting in the metabolism regulating properties of BIO REX® NONI, which were clinically proven as effective for patients affected by chronic inflammatory diseases, are obviously as well strongly beneficial to healthy people, in terms of enhancement of the “quality-of-life”, and of a “healthy ageing”. The cytotoxic effect of free radicals, and especially of lipid radicals and oxidation products, is in fact etiologically significant in many “physiological” conditions related to dysmetabolism, stress, and cell aging. Page 17
NATURAL PHYSIOLOGICAL DETOXIFIER & ANTI- OXIDANT BIO REX® NONI is a natural physiological detoxifier, with pronounced activity against oxidized-lipids. The capability to eliminate excess free radicals, and a pleiotropic anti-inflammatory efficacy, is guaranteed by NONI and PAPAYA components in the fermented preparation, as documented by a wealth of experimental data. In fact, NONI was shown to protect laboratory animals from chronic alcoholic lipid hepatitis and cirrhosis, through the effective enhancement of lipid and alcohol catabolism, the suppression of lipid neogenesis, of pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic cytokines, and through the increase of specifically-protective antioxidant levels (glutatione). Relevant to detoxification properties, BIO REX® NONI is a valuable pro-biotic preparation, retaining in the final fermented form all the gastro-protective and pro-digestive organic acids, as well as the antimicrobial and immune-stimulating metabolic products facilitating intestinal function and mucosal structure protection. Page 18
TREATS DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS Regular consumption of BIO REX® NONI is a recommended adjuvant for chronic digestive problems because it stimulates intestinal motility, suppresses pathogens and facilitates growth of normal intestinal flora, and stimulates active penetration of digested metabolites through gastrointestinal wall. The strong pro-digestive efficacy of BIO REX NONI is due to the high concentration of natural fruit and microbial proteolytic and lipolytic enzymes (especially NONI’s lipases, green PAPAYA’s cysteine-proteases and caspases - ”papain”, lipases and phospholipases of PAPAYA and COCONUT) and of fermented-fruit organic acids. PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF METABOLIC SYNDROME, DIABETES AND OBESITY BIO REX® NONI is effective in the prevention and treatment of metabolic syndrome, diabetes and obesity in otherwise healthy people, and a powerful aid in weight-reduction dietetic regimens, by: a) providing an effective lipid metabolism control, in particular through the lipid- metabolizing enzyme lipoprotein lipase of NONI juice, which suppresses fatty acid metabolism and enhances intracellular / intra- tissue fatty acid storage, b) lowering glucose blood levels, c) inducing appetite inhibition, Page 19
d) enhancing energy production, e) inhibiting the absorption of toxic catabolites, and an excessive absorption of nutritional lipids, through the facilitation of the intestinal transit. A recent research using animal study conducted in Hawaii, USA demonstrated that Fermented NONI significantly improves glucose metabolism, with remarkable reduction in plasma glucose and insulin levels. Another animal study concluded that Fermentation NONI demonstrated similar blood sugar suppression capabilities with reference standard hypoglycaemic drug, glibenclamide. Page 20
LIVER PROTECTION NONI fruit has also proven a marked hepato-protective activity. A very recent research published in Journal of Functional Food (2020) again proved that Fermented NONI yields liver-protective effects. The research concluded that Fermented NONI reduced the effect of alcohol on liver function by maintaining the liver function index in a normal state. Compared with the control group, levels of serum AST, ALT, ALP, and GGT (liver function indicator: the lower the better) were significantly lower in the fermented NONI groups. REDUCE CHOLESTEROL Alcohol ingestion induced a significant increase in Total Cholesterol levels in the serum and liver of human being. In the same research, it was concluded that Fermented NONI significantly decreased the Total Cholesterol to the desirable levels comparable to the Control Group. In addition, alcohol intake led to a decrease in HDL-C (good Page 21
cholesterol) content and an increase in LDL-C (bad cholesterol) content in the serum. Fermented noni also proved to alleviate these harmful effects. Page 22
NATURAL TRANQUILIZER, MEMORY ENHANCER & IMPROVE BRAIN FUNCTIONS BIO REX® NONI is an effective tranquilizer, and a memory enhancer, essential for a good physical and mental performance, and for the prevention of age-related changes in the nervous system and psyche. The same properties are of great support also in the stressful and frustrating dietetic regimes. BIO REX® NONI is a general energizing preparation, and a valid support for efficient stress-coping strategies, for the healthy subject, as well as for the worldwide-increasing number of subjects affected by \"chronic fatigue syndrome\", to augment their muscle and nervous resistance to physical stress, and as effective pain killer. SKIN PROTECTION & PROMOTES HEALING BIO REX® NONI preparation has very marked skin protecting and healing properties, due to: a) strong antimicrobial action, that maintains a healthy skin microflora, b) UV-erythema and skin damage protecting properties, c) a strong inhibition of skin mastocyte degranulation (antiallergic action), Page 23
d) a documented potent anti-melanogenic activity of iridoid glycoside and saccharide fatty acid esters fraction isolated from NONI fruit extract, effective in the prevention and treatment of hypermelanotic skin, as well as in melanoma risk prevention. Remarkable skin anti-aging properties are granted to BIO REX® NONI by the documented anti-tyrosinase and anti-elastase activities of NONI and PAPAYA fruit, and by a specific capability of NONI anthraquinones to stimulate the biosynthesis of type-1 collagen and glycosaminoglycans in human skin fibroblasts, and to reduce reduced the expression of the collagenases and matrix metalloproteinases, bearing strong anti-wrinkle potency. A very recent research done in Korea again documented that Fermented NONI inhibited the thickening of the Epidermis and Infiltration of Inflammatory Cells that caused Dermatitis. Page 24
CONTRAINDICATIONS of BIO REX® NONI BIO REX® NONI fermented preparation is generally well tolerated without adverse effects, with optimal patients' compliance. In the very rarely registered occurrence of gastric pain and/or diarrhoea following its assumption, symptoms disappear fast and without any pharmacological intervention. Please visit your local doctor and stop taking BIO REX® NONI if symptoms persist. BIO REX® NONI is not recommended for children under 3 years of age. Page 25
