Employee Spotlights Jeff Fraser Jeff Fraser has worked for the City of Rochester Hills for four years joining our Building Department as a Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer on May 20, 2019. When we asked Jeff what his favorite thing about working here is, he said, “Having a great group of inspectors to work with and having an office next to Tony.” In Jeff’s spare time, he has many hobbies such as snowmobiling, fishing, concerts, boating, getaways, anything outdoors. Most importantly, spending time with his daughter. So Jeff, what is something people may not know about you? Jeff’s response, “That I’m kind of a big deal! People know me!” We are hoping he would elaborate a little more for us, especially on why he is a big deal, but feel free to ask him. We can agree his dog is definitely is a big deal! Wow! Henrietta joined the Customer Service team just over two years ago, He ino bringing with her lots of previous experience in BS&A. She started nrietta Vettra with the City of Rochester Hills Building Department as a Permit Technician on April 26, 2021. Page 8 When we asked her what do you like about working here, Henrietta said, “The people I work with are my favorite part - the inspectors and managers are so fun to be around and everyone here makes me laugh.” When not at work, Henrietta likes to watch her favorite Bravo shows with a cup of coffee and snuggle with her dogs, Maple and Hamlet. Henrietta, what is something we may not know about you? “I'm terrified of thunderstorms and lightning. It's the suspense of the noise that gets me.” In addition, we cannot forget that Henrietta is our “go to” when we run low on eggs. Save your egg cartons!

He joined our Ordinance Department as an Ordinance Inspector on May 20, 2019 after retiring from Law Enforcement for the past 20+ years. Matt’s favorite part of working here is the culture and staff here at the City of Rochester Hills. Matt said, “My coworkers and everyone I have met so far that work for the City are happy to be here. As an employee of the city I have actually felt valued here, not just as employee #101, but as a part of a great team that is working together to make this a place to want to be.\" Ordinance is a completely new field to me after many years in my previous job. I have been enjoying the new challenge very much so far and I definitely have the support to have success in this job. I get satisfaction at the end of the day being able to see the results of the work that we do here.” When not a work, Matt likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors enjoying time with my family and friends. Matt refers to himself as a kind of a \"toy\" junkie in that he likes motorsports from snowmobiling to dirt biking, boating, hiking, and hunting all over the place. Matt and his wife are planning a first \"big trip\" on their Harley this summer. They are going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for the first time with a group of friends. Matt said, “So this should be a real \"test\" to our 24 years of marriage…..LOL...We are looking forward to it and she seems genuinely excited!” Cannot wait to see some pictures Matt, we hope it is a fun filled trip!
