HYDROPOWERA On the 21st of January, a workshop by the name \"HydroPowera\" was hosted by Aditya Krishna, Karthik Vinod, Ridhima Rangesh, and Sreshta Nithin of Grades 8 and 9 with the assistance of Mrs. Lakshmi from the science department. The workshop was to showcase the apparatus the students came up with for the esteemed Sharjah Sustainability Awards. The team chose the topic \"Conservation of Water Resources\", and was assigned the task to overcome the said agendas. The team had to come up with an all in one solution that abides the given criteria by the SSA panel. They opted to make an all in one app, which at its core is a service that helps you conserve and keep track of water. It uses your monthly water bills to give statistics, tips, and plausible fixes. Some features the app offers are, In-depth statistics to track your progress, tips on how you could cut down usage, weekly articles to raise awareness, and much more. At its current stage the team is awaiting the results on the presentation phase, which is soon to commence this April.

WISE TALKS \"Words are the bricks of the world and they have the power to change it\" The Department of English organized \"Wise Talks\" for students of Grades 8, 9 and 11. The talk was modeled after the TED TALKS. Wise Talks played as a platform for students to showcase their literary prowess and flaunt their communication skills. There were two rounds to the competition. Students who were interested registered their names with the respective English teachers. In the first round, video recordings were sent and judged by the English Dept. and based on this round the students were selected for the next round. On 3rd Feb, the 2nd and final round was conducted. The selected students presented their TALKS in the virtual auditorium, where they articulated on various topics from confidence, career choices, positivity and so on.

Credit Policy The school has introduced the Credit Policy for students of Grades 6 to 9 in order to equip them with essential skills and credits required for higher education. This helped students deepen their knowledge, improve their skills, and to develop the ability to research an area while analysing various interdisciplinary and artistic facets to a study. Phase 3 of the Credit Policy was held on the 4th of February. Shortlisted students of Phase 2 moved on to Phase 3. The selected students presented their presentations for 10 minutes before a panel of External Judges. The panel of judges included Mr. Alex Martin, Mr. Fawaz Abdul Salam, Mrs. Madona James, Mr. Shanib Mohammed, Mr. Navaf Ebrahim, and Mr. Staford Titus. The 1st place was bagged by Niraamaya Sailesh of Grade 6A, 2nd place by Rema E.A of Grade 9A and 3rd place by Karthik Vinod of Grade 8B.

Poetica \"Art of Poetry\" The Art of Poetry is an excellent curriculum that teaches the practice of reading a poem closely and absorbing its beauty. An inter-school competition was conducted to draw attention to just that. A selection round was conducted at school to identify students with artistic talent to intone their chosen poems. A bunch of students participated and rendered wholeheartedly. As a result of the great job they did in this round, a few were selected for the Finale. The final round of the competition was held on the 26th of February between all Bhavans schools from the Middle East. Throughout the day, students recited and delivered wonderful pieces of poetry. Among the students Sreebala Diju, Veda Vimble and Rema E.A were the victors of the competition from Bhavans Ajman.

SCIENCE DAY Terra Mater “Goddess of Earth” February 28 is celebrated as National Science Day to mark the invention of the Raman Effect. Students from across the country present science-related projects and innovations at the state and national levels. The day is celebrated to encourage youth to understand the aspects of science and develop an interest in it. On this day the school held various programs. An assembly was conducted where they presented videos about Sustainable practices of UAE and Bhavans Ajman. A talk show on 'Story of the Elements: Genesis of the Universe' was presented by Dr. K.P Unnikrishnan. The school also hosted a Science Exhibition (face-to-face and online) which was inaugurated by Dr. K.P Unnikrishnan. There was active involvement of students from all grades and teachers in science-related activities.

CAREER GUIDANCE “The future depends on what you do today.” – Mahatma Gandhi Held on 5th February 2022 was the career guidance session to give more knowledge on the various streams and job opportunities available in the outside world that gives you 5 percent more chance for you to not get fired :) There were 6 sessions starting with Photography - 'Passion to Profession' by Mr. Shaehen Thaha a celebrity Photographer. Ms. Aathira Mannali a fashion designer and Mr. Rahul Mangalath an entrepreneur spoke in the second session, 'Designing as a Career'. Professor Ram Kumar, Chief Operating Officer at the Center for Healthcare, spoke about the 'Workforce of the 21st Century' in the third session. Health Professions by Dr. Sunila John Associate Professor (Dept. of speech & hearing) was the fourth session. A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Prasanth Sankar spoke about the Pathway to ACCA during the fifth session. For the sixth session, from the London School of Economics and International Economics - University of Wales was Mr. Surendran Panicker with Exploring Economics. The program ended with the vote of thanks and a hearty goodbye by the content and satisfied students.

Farewell \"Every ending has a new beginning\" On 17th March, the students of Grade 9 hosted a farewell to bid adieu to the students of Grade 10. The farewell program was called 'Hasta La Vista'. Students of Grade 10 came in stunning outfits. The program started with a spectacular Welcome Dance. The program also consisted of various games such as a ‘Treasure Hunt’, ‘Newspaper Dance’ and ‘Lucky Senior’. The students of Grade 9 showcased their talent through various dances. The highlight of the program was the Master and Miss Farewell where a few students from Grade 10 were chosen based on their outfits and were asked a series of situational questions by the judges according to which the Master & Miss Farewell Titles were given to Aadil and Sreelakshmi, respectively. To make this event more memorable, the students were given a personalized memento. The program was ended with a heartfelt speech by the class teachers of Grade 10A & 10B. Overall, the program allowed the students to reminisce on the memories they had made during their time in this school.

cLASS PARTY \"A new school year means new beginnings, new adventures, new friendships, and new challenges. The slate is clean and anything can happen.\" To mark the end of the academic year, and bid farewell to the departing students, the school had conducted class parties for Grades 1 - 11 on the 24th of March. The students of Grades 1 - 8 had the party within the comfort of their homes, whilst students of Grades 9 and 11 had it within the school campus. Everyone was requested to come in colourful attires to mark the occasion. The students were also allotted time to host different activities from talent shows to dances, and so on.

Exam Mode The Periodic Assessment 3 for Grade 9 & 11 was conducted from 10th - 18th January. The PTM for PT - 3 was held on the 24th of January. The Periodic Assessment 3 for Grade 5-8 & 10 commenced from the 24th of January to the 1st of February. The PTM for PT - 3 was held on the 10th of February. The Annual Examination for Grade 9 & 11 was conducted from 9th - 28th February whereas for Grade 5-8 it was from 1st - 18th March. The PTM was held on the 5th of March (for Gr 9&11) and on the 23rd of March (for Gr 1-8). The Pre-Board 1 for Grade 10 was conducted from the 21st of February to the 10th of March whereas the Pre-Board 2 was from the 21st of March to the 7th of April.

Working on these Newsletters gave us an insight into all the events conducted in the school premises. It was indeed a delightful learning experience. We'll be handing over this responsibility to our juniors, who will continue to pour out their creativity and ideas for the new academic year. 12
