With the increasing emphasis of Digital Transformation and productivity improvement for local enterprises, this course is designed to meet the national objectives of providing skills training for process and productivity improvement aiming at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs). These PMETs will have to constantly update their skills, knowledge, soft and technical expertise to stay competitive. Effective workflow design and conversion to a digitalise application workflow using the SIMTech Digital Workflow Automation products for testing of the candidates’ processes will be a very good learning experience for the students taking up this course. Participants would learn various modeling technique and what is possible in a digital workflow environment. About the Programme In this programme, participants would gain a holistic understanding of the digitalisation of manual processes and its potential productivity improvement in the daily operational activities, including the reduction of manual tracking of processes and time saving from automating the reporting of process performance. Expected learnings by participants: • Document the manual work processes into a digital model so that this could be translated into a digital workflow • Perform hands-on modelling of the participant’s current manual work processes, with the guidance from our Digital Workflow automaton experts • Adopt best practices for workflow process documentation through modelling and refinement after testing and review with end-users Who Should Attend The programme is highly relevant for professionals working in organisations including local SMEs from the manufacturing, logistics, marine, process, food, retail etc. It is also recommended to personnel from IT, non-IT, and Operations who are seeking capability enhancement in the workflow digitalisation of the manual processes

Course Outline Skills Course Reference Number: To be announced soon (16 training hours) The programme employs the Learn-Practise-Implement™ (LPI™) pedagogy, where fundamental knowledge and principles taught will be reinforced with hands-on practices. Concept of LEARN- Analyse current manual process tracking PRACTISE- form process User roles and IMPLEMENT™ Create digital user interfaces (LPI™) form templates Key functional Upload digital building blocks form templates Practice building Practice building digital forms workflows Upon Completion of the Programme Participants will be awarded with a certificate of attendance by SIMTech. Course Fee and Funding • The nett course fee for all Singaporeans, SPRs and Long Term Visit Pass Plus Holders aged 21 years old and above is S$480 (before GST). • Singaporeans, SPRs and Long Term Visit Pass Plus Holders who are employed and fully sponsored by SMEs can claim an additional 20% of the full course fee with the Enhanced Training Support for SMEs Funding scheme (ETSS), subject to approval by SSG. • Singaporeans aged 40 years and above can claim an additional 20% of the full course fee with the Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES). • Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above are eligible for SkillsFuture Credit which can be used to offset course fees (for self-sponsored registrations only). • The full course fee before funding is S$1,600 (before GST). About the Trainers Dr Justin Lim is a Principal Technical Lead with SIMTech, A*STAR, and is the Initiative Lead for Digital Workflow Automation which is a low cost mobile application that enable mobile workflows to be configured and operational on Android and IoS devices, as well as Web browsers. His current research include Blockchain Smart contract for construction industry and Inter-enterprise Workflow management systems. He had extensive experience in the semiconductor industry in various senior IT management positions, and served as CIO in several large MNCs. Dr Justin has successfully driven the global consolidation and standardization of the IT Business processes, applications and IT infrastructure; He had vast experience in ERP implementation, Strategic Planning and Visioning, IT Operations & Applications Management, Supply Chain Management, and IT outsourcing. Mr Teng Wei Yuen is a Senior Research Engineer with SIMTech, A* STAR. His research includes machine learning, cloud technology, and mobile app development. He graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2008. He is the technical lead and the developer of eDataLogger technology.
