Customer Story Real-time Camera-based Occupants Tracking Solution A real-time camera-based occupants tracking solution was developed in the Model Factory @ SIMTech by Dr Du Pengfei of the MEC group. This solution uses a Machine Learning-based Activity Recognition Model to sense human activities for better shop-floor management with regard to safety and productivity. The solution projects footfalls in the shopfloor onto a top-down- view map in real time, and provides a person count as well as each person’s information such as compliance to safe distancing, and the wearing of mask and safety vest. By combining Deep Learning AI technologies with SIMTech’s novel Motion Vector-based Objects Tracking algorithm, the solution’s monitoring feature runs more than twice as fast as the state-of-the-art technologies that are currently available. The solution is compatible with existing CCTV systems. MORE STORIES?
