Projects can be launched to develop new products and services or technologies, and in implementing IT & other infrastructure etc. Project management ensures proper expectations are set around what can be delivered, by when, and at what operating cost to the organisation. Upon completion of the course, participants will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge and essential skills in project management. During this course, key knowledge and skills within the process groups of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling and closing will be covered. Some of the knowledge areas include risk management, stakeholder management, schedule management, resource management, change management and decision making. Through classroom practice, participants will learn to apply the techniques and tools for the processes in the knowledge areas. Upon Completion of this Course Electronic certificates (e-Certs) will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to participants who have attended and attained competency in the Singapore Skills Framework training modules.

Content covered in this module include: • Concept of project management • Stakeholder management • Schedule management • Resource management • Risk management • Change management • Decision making About the Course Leader Dr Gary Ng is a Senior Industry Development Manager with SIMTech. He oversees the project management and industry analysis units in SIMTech. He has led and managed many R&D projects both within SIMTech and in collaboration with the local industry, Institutes of Higher Learning and other research organisations. He obtained his PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his MBA from Nanyang Business School. He is also an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF) and is trained in the Operation and Technology Roadmapping (OTR) methodology. Course Fee and Funding • The full course fee for this module is S4,000 before SkillsFuture funding & GST. • All Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 21 years and above can enjoy SkillsFuture funding of up to 70% of the course fee. • Singaporean or Permanent Resident employees fully sponsored by SMEs can enjoy SkillsFuture funding support of up to 90% of the course fee under the Enhanced Training Support for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) scheme, subject to eligibility criteria. • Singaporeans aged 40 years and above can enjoy SkillsFuture funding of up to 90% of the course fee under the Mid-career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES). • Singaporeans aged 35 years and above with earnings not more than S$2,000 per month can enjoy SkillsFuture funding for up to 95% of the course fee under the Workfare Training Support (WTS) scheme. • Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above are eligible for SkillsFuture Credit which can be used to offset course fees (for self-sponsored registrations only).
