UK passport renewal is required every 9 years, give or take a few months. While your passport is valid for ten years, there are some countries that will not permit you entry if you have less than six months left on your passport. You then have to account for the time it takes to get your passport renewed. You certainly don’t want to leave it until the last minute. Some of the countries that require a minimum of six months left on your passport expiry date include Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Fiji, Egypt, and China.
