sense verbs Taste Smell Sight Hearing Touch taste smell see hear touch sour good look listen feel sweet bad watch sound hard คำเหล่านี้ คือ sensory (sense) verbs ซึ่งในภาษาอังกฤษถือว่าเป็นเรื่องสำคัญ ซึ่งกฎของไวยกรณ์มักจะนำมาใช้กริยาที่มีการเปลี่ยนไปตาม adverbs

sense verbs + v.ing +base v. ใช้ในขณะที่เหตุการณ์นั้น กำลังดำเนินการอยู่ ใช้ในขณะที่เห ตุการณ์นั้น จบสมบูร ณ์เเล้ว

sense verbs (+v.ing) ประโยคบอกเล่า She is tasting the food to see if it’s Ok. I am seeing Bam for lunch. ประโยคคำถาม Why are you smelling the milk? why are you looking in that directio? ประโยคปฏิเสธ I am not feeling Ok.

sense verbs example I heard the door slam. I heard the door slamming. ใช้เป็นv.ingไม่ได้เนื่องจากเสียงของประตูเป็นเพียงเเค่เสียงสั้นๆ Bam felt something crawling on her leg. Bam felt something crawl on her leg. ใช่v.ไม่ได้เนื่องจากในขณะที่กำลังรู้สึกเเปลว่าในขณะนั้นมีอะไรกำลัง ขยับอยู่เเต่ถ้ามันจบไปเเล้วเราก็จะไม่รู้สึกดังนั้นใช้ได้เเค่v.ing
