Workspace • Co-working space for residents furnished with free wifi, meeting rooms and pantry. • To date, Workspace has benefited more than 1000 working adults,entrepreneurs and start-ups. Job-matching, Job Fairs, Part-time employment • Since launched in 2004, Project S.U.C.C.E.S.S, has assisted over 15,000 residents in providing job matching services, through walk-in, job fairs and others. • The service is provided free for both job seekers and employers. Community Resource Centre Residents are able to borrow basic items like ladders, trolleys, chairs and tables from CC or RC centres. Free Legal Clinic Service @ Sengkang CC is a weekly service that provides legal advice to residents in need of legal consultation. Page 5

CARING AA A SFOERNOIUORRAS Café Corner • At our RC Centres, Cafe Corners have AAA been providing free coffee, tea, milo & water for residents in the mornings from 7.30am to 9.30am and evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on weekdays. • The service helps to provide quick beverages for residents while they are on their way to work or coming home from work. • The Cafe Corners are also a means to provide temporary jobs for residents who are in the midst of job hunting or retirees still willing to work. Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 4.30pm (Except public holiday). This is a two-way service. Applicant must be accompanied by one care-giver at all times. ACommunity Employment AAProgramme Established in November 2011, the programme has been providing 6 months to 1 year employment, especially for those who have been unemployed for a long period of time. For job seekers who have not been working for some time, this temporary work experience can provide them with the platform to refresh their skills. AAA AAA Wellness Centre @ Sengkang Open Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm, the wellness centre is a space dedicated to encourage seniors to participate in active ageing programmes.The centre has been conducting activities such as karaoke sessions, arts and craft sessions and mind exercise sessions to keep the elderly engaged. The centre also acts as a communal space for the elderly to socialise with their peers and find social support. Page 7

Celebrating our Kids’ Birthdays Volunteers have been delivering birthday cards to our Sengkang Central beneficiaries with kids aged 12 years old and below on their Birthdays.The card entitles each of them to a free birthday cake. Grocery Drive Project Refresh Initiative Free Tution Children from Primary 2 to 6 can get free tuition classes at Compassvale Haven RC Centre at Blk 250B. The programme is offered in collaboration with community partner YYD Education Centre. Community Vouchers Scheme The community voucher scheme is available for residents of Sengkang Central Division who require financial assistance*.
