How did you feel on winning the maiden Gold Medal in Women's Table Tennis Singles for India? It was a feeling of immense pride and joy to represent my nation at such a great sporting stage and win the maiden Gold Medal in Women’s Table Tennis. Q When and how did your journey as a TT player begin? I started playing at the age of four. I was motivated and inspired by my elder brother and sister who used to play table tennis as well at the state/national levels. Q Having the Gold Medal in your hand at the Commonwealth Games is something very rare and precious. How would you describe that feeling? I was teary eyed (as you might have seen on TV as well); that emotion, when the National Anthem was playing, and I was at the podium, is totally indescribable and can only be felt.
