About Us In 2007 Mr. LB Smith decided to start a training school, Cabin Crew Academy. This school was given full accreditation by the SA-CAA, (South African Civil Aviation Authority) after the Training Manual, all relevant documentation, Venue, and Equipment were approved. Our cabin crew licensing course covers all the training modules required by the SACAA for the licensing of the flight attendant - air hostess - cabin crew members. We are proud to announce that we boast with a 100% success rate for licensing of cabin our courses take place over a 6-week period members.
Flight Attendant Training The primary purpose of a flight attendant is to ensure that safety regulations are followed, while providing quality customer service. Flight attendants also work to make the flight more comfortable and enjoyable for the passengers. In the event of an emergency, flight attendants are responsible for helping the passengers exit the aircraft safely. Height and weight need to be proportionate. Requirements A Class 2 medical certificate – The medical is required when we apply for your cabin crew member’s license with the SACAA. Minimum of 18 years of age at the time of writing the SACAA examination – or older Proficiency in English A Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 certificate is not required for the licensing training course however it is normally a minimum requirement when airline operators advertise positions for cabin crew members.
