Vedran Vukotić, Partner What is our purpose? Our purpose is to inspire confidence and empower change. What does that mean? The best way to explain this is by giving an example: Last year we accepted a difficult engagement with a state owned company. As expected, the team delivering the work was under big pressure, but in the end we stuck with our view and opinion. Just recently, some of my colleagues and myself had an opportunity to meet the employees and supervisory board from this company, and the feedback we got was “the only audit firm in 20 years that was pointing to the right thing”, “finally someone truly independent”, “you guys helped us so much to start changing”. Irrespective of whether we keep the client for the next year, the client realized that they needed to change. And they have taken steps to change. And that is our purpose. But not just that. Over 30 alumni employees are holding leadership positions in the market place today. They are bringing different mindset, values, work ethics, moral, which in some instances are completely different from what is perceived as acceptable behavior. As a Firm we were involved in nearly all the successful privatizations in the country. Those transactions brought employment, prosperity, know-how to the Country. But just as we see the things we do locally, our Firm has done things over and over regionally and globally to inspire confidence and empower change. KPMG counted votes to ensure fairness in the democratic elections in South Africa. KPMG was called to assist in number of moments which shaped the world as we know it. As someone has put it nicely, “At KPMG, purpose is the difference that has always made the difference”.

Manal Bećirbegović, Director How do we lead by example? I believe that command is granted, but leadership is earned when people see the leader doing what is right, in good times and bad. To earn respect, trust and the right to lead others is to lead not by word, but by example, and this is what we at KPMG in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been doing all these years. Our people know that we truly believe what we say because our actions support what we say, and thus, they trust and respect us. Our Managers put the interests of their people first by finding ways to help them grow, develop and take on more responsibilities, and that is why they cease to be mere managers. They are leaders of men and women; leaders who have earned their rank by giving their people a reason to believe. And that is one of the reasons that after all these years, every morning while walking to work, I still feel proud for being a part of the amazing KPMG Story.

Edis Hadžimušović, Senior Manager How do we act with integrity? My journey here started 11 years ago when I, for the first time, came into a very quiet and peaceful office where some 15 employees were very serious and hard at work. It was my first job interview, and a successful one. Thinking about it, I recollect that one of the first sentences during the interview was about one of the most important core values we hold. It was about integrity. Integrity is our way and core value which enables us to differentiate from others. It is our key driver. Frankly, this is not only the place where we work. It is a lifestyle and we are living it because we are committed and we care. It drives us forward and, because of that, we are constantly striving to be the best. And that is who we are, simply the best. And this is how and why we act with highest personal integrity. It is our face, and the face of our team we need to keep. Today there is more than 60 people roaming around our office with the same zeal. This was made possible because we acted with integrity all these years and the confidence of our clients in us only grew as these years went by… Mirna Sefo, Manager How do we work together? In a world full of choices what differentiates us from our peers is that we have the courage to be tough with our clients and to challenge them while protecting their best interests. We are not afraid to fiercely defend our convictions, even if it means losing a client, if we feel that our integrity and ethics may be compromised. Yes, we kick a$$. We are confident. We Inspire Confidence. Suad Slipičević How do we help the public trust us? Public trust can be gained and maintained by steadfast adherence to our core values. To exist, public trust and confidence must be nurtured in this fashion over a long period of time, and each KPMG person must take their own responsibility in this regard. We always have to be mindful that what every KPMG person does as an individual in both public and private domain reflects on the firm as a whole, and that those actions can either bolster or hinder public trust in our firm.

Assistant Managers Una Kadirić How do we continuously improve quality, consistency and efficiency? Adequate level of knowledge and access to up-to-date information as well as consistent implementation of worldwide best practices in our local community ensure the quality and consistency in the work we perform which is the key to our success, the position we take in the market and the way we are being perceived. We gather new knowledge and meet professionals from around the world; we exchange experiences, bring about innovative ideas and always go through extensive personal development which brings about new, deeper sense and need to bring new quality and consistency of services to the leading companies in our growing market. Last, but not least, we provide guidance to younger colleagues. Nothing less is to be expected. We are this team’s core assets and its most important investment. Being here, in a short time we all realize everything is possible. Azur Zenunović How do we collaborate seamlessly? In numerous situations, we have been confronted with complex issues sealed with tight deadlines and difficult environment on sight. As a team, we invested lots of hard work, respect towards the client, and, by drawing on our internal resources and joint efforts, within very short periods of time, we managed to earn the clients’ trust and continued working as one team, finalizing projects with highest levels of quality. As a result, deep professional relationships within us, as well as between us and our clients have been built. Dino Hrustanović How do we communicate openly and honestly? Communicating openly and honestly is one of our principal ideals. We do it by making sure that what we are about to say is well thought through, in line with our values and answers the situation that we are addressing in an efficient manner. Open and honest communication also requires us to have the right communication skills and to be confident in what we are saying.

Almina Alić We use clarity to inspire confidence, and the way we put that into action is by transforming the fear of the unknown into clear visions of whom to serve, and examining core strengths to leverage and actions to take. We invest in our self- development and our team skills and that enables us to pierce the veil of complexity and identify the best vantage point from which to act and deliver quality. The second is love of conversing with people, by any means possible, while being open, honest and clear to the recipient. In addition, when a thorough knowledge of the matter at hand is demonstrated, it yields confidence and respect of KPMG. Dragan Savičić We demonstrate our clarity and confidence by being clear when voicing our views, thoroughly prepared and direct when stating our ideas, standing firm whenever necessary, and questioning everything but at the same time showing outmost respect for our coworkers and clients. And most of all by being genuine. Sejla Škamo We daily face many problems in our small and evolving market and it is clear to us that our clients elect us precisely because we solve problems which even our legislators have missed and do not understand. Thus, both our clients and legislators, share our knowledge and grow with us. Our clients have confidence in us.
