HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY Sign Solutions aims to provide a healthy and safe working environment with the objective of minimising the number of occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately achieving an accident-free workplace. INTRODUCTION: It is the policy of Sign Solutions to take all reasonable steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare of its employees and visitors, and we will, so far as is reasonably practicable, establish procedures and systems necessary to implement such a policy. We shall also ensure that all relevant statutory duties and obligations are satisfied, including those duties set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. All employees will be provided with such equipment, information, instructions, training and supervision as is necessary to implement the policy and achieve the stated objective. On commencement of your employment with Sign Solutions, and during your Staff Induction, you will receive safety induction training. Whilst the Managing Director/CEO of Sign Solutions will take all reasonable steps to ensure the aims of this policy are met, health and safety at work is also the responsibility of all employees inasmuch as it is the duty of each employee to take reasonable care of their own and other people's welfare and to report any situation which may pose a threat to the well being of themselves or of any other person. Sign Solutions will identify and record any health and safety training which employees undergo. Sign Solutions designated Health and Safety Officer, Clare Vale for inspecting the workplace to ensure its safety. All injuries sustained at work therefore, whether in the office, or at, or en- route to an assignment, however slight, must be reported to the Health and Safety Officer. Accident records are crucial to the effective monitoring and revision of the policy and must therefore be accurate and comprehensive. All reported accidents will be entered into the “Accident Report Book” held by the Health and Safety Officer at the Sign Solutions Office, in accordance with the relevant legislation. Any reported accidents are investigated by the Health and Safety Officer to discover its cause, and all such investigations and findings will be reported in the Accident Report Book. This Health and Safety policy will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis in accordance with any new legislation. COMMUNICATION AND CO-OPERATION: Sign Solutions will endeavor to consult with and communicate to employees their commitment to safety and to ensure that employees are familiar with the contents of this policy. In order to build and maintain a healthy and safe working environment, co-operation between all staff is essential. All employees have a duty to take all reasonable steps to preserve and protect the health and safety of themselves and of all other people affected by the operations of the Company. Disciplinary action under the Company’s disciplinary procedure may be taken against any employee who violates safety rules and procedures, or who fails to perform his or her duties V0.1 17/09/21

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY under this policy. RISK ASSESSMENTS The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for carrying out risk assessments of the workplace. Such risk assessments will take into consideration employees and any other persons who may visit Sign Solutions’ premises. Risk assessments may also take into consideration unusual risks such as bomb alerts, evacuations etc. In the case of such evacuation, the evacuation procedure described in the section entitled Fire Safety Precautions should be followed. WORK EQUIPMENT: Sign Solutions will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of all employees using work equipment provided by the Company, as well as to ensure the safety of others who may be affected by the equipment. The Health and Safety Officer will undertake to ensure all equipment is inspected, tested and maintained. All portable electrical equipment is that which can be disconnected and reconnected at another site, whether at the office or elsewhere. Such equipment is subject to inspection, testing and maintenance, of which the Health and Safety Officer is responsible. All electrical equipment will undergo statutory PAT testing. Such PAT testing will be carried out by a qualified electrician and the inspection will consist of both visual and electrical testing. All records of PAT testing are held by the Health and Safety Officer, at Sign Solutions Head Office, in a folder entitled “PAT Certificate Folder” On commencement of your employment with Sign Solutions, and during your Staff Induction, you will be instructed by the Health and Safety Officer about the use of work equipment, especially those needing special training before use. Where necessary, you may be asked to complete a Work Station Self-Assessment Form. Should employees have any problems relating to the operation of equipment, or the safety of that equipment, they should immediately inform the Health and Safety Officer, so that steps can be taken to remedy the situation promptly. All work equipment procured, hired or used by the Company will comply with statutory requirements and is to be maintained in good working order and repair. The Company will endeavor to ensure, in liaison with equipment suppliers and manufacturers that all equipment used in the workplace is safe and suitable for the purpose for which it is used. DISPLAY SCREEN EQUIPMENT: Sign Solutions recognises that office staff are required to routinely use Display Screen Equipment (DSE) as part of their daily work. HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY Workstations comply with statutory requirements, thus reducing risks to DSE users to the lowest extent reasonably practicable. DSE users are encouraged to take periodic breaks from DSE activities, either in the form of other work activities or tea breaks. DSE users are entitled to eye tests to ensure their visual acuity is compatible with the requirements of DSE work. The cost of such examinations will be reimbursed by Sign Solutions. FIRST AID In the event of an accident or injury where an employee or visitor requires first aid, please contact Sign Solutions designated First Aid Officers Phoebe Capewell and Bethany Willmott who will take the appropriate necessary action. The designated First Aid Officer(s) is responsible for checking the first aid box to ensure it is adequately stocked with the necessary first aid equipment. First Aid Boxes are situated in the ground floor reception and first floor landing outside video rooms. FIRE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Please read in conjunction with the Fire Evacuation Procedures. Fire is a significant risk within the workplace. Office staff are required to ensure they are familiar with the fire evacuation procedures (see separate document). All office based staff will receive fire safety briefing during their staff induction. Kim Dobbs is responsible for performing weekly Fire Alarm tests. Bethany Willmott, Fire Warden, is responsible for ensuring the fire evacuation procedures are performed. In her absence, Kim Dobbs will take over responsibility. The local fire service inspection staff are responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety and prevention codes, for inspecting and testing fire fighting, prevention and protection equipment and for advising on safe practices and pr ocedur es . All employees are un d e r a dut y to r eport immediately any fire, smoke or potential fire hazards to the fire service and in accordance with the evacuation procedures. All employees have a duty to conduct their operations in such a way as to minimise the risk of fire. This involves taking care of smoking outside the building, keeping combustible materials separate from sources of ignition and avoiding unnecessary accumulation of combustible materials. Employees should use electric fires and other heaters with caution and keep flammable materials away from sources of heat. Employees must report any faulty electric cable or loose connection immediately to the designated fire warden, Bethany Willmott. All electrical equipment which does not require continuous operation should be switched off when not in use and plugs removed from socket outlets. Employees should never attempt to repair or interfere with electrical equipment or wiring themselves.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY The Fire Warden is responsible for keeping their operating areas safe from fire, ensuring that staff are trained in proper fire prevention practices and emergency procedures. COMPANY SAFETY RULES: a) All employees should be aware of, respect and adhere to the rules and procedures contained in this policy; b) All employees must immediately report any unsafe practices or conditions to the Agency Manager or Managing Director. c) Any horseplay, practical joking, misuse of equipment or any other acts which might jeopardise the health and safety of any other person are forbidden; d) Employees must not adjust, move or otherwise tamper with any electrical equipment, machinery in a manner not within the scope of their duties, unless instructed to do so by the Health and Safety Officer; e) Trailing cables are a trip hazard and should not be left in any walkway; f) Walkways and passageways must be kept clear from obstructions at all times; g) All waste materials and rubbish must be disposed of properly and in such a way that they do not constitute a hazard to other workers; h) No employee should undertake a job which appears to be unsafe; i) No employee should undertake a job until he or she has received adequate safety instruction and is authorised to carry out the task; j) All injuries must be reported to the First Aid Officer(s) and Health and Safety Officer; k) Work sites must be kept clean and tidy and any liquid spillages must be cleaned up immediately; l) Smoking is a fire hazard and is prohibited in all areas of the Sign Solutions workplace.
