SIGN SOLUTIONS ‘BONUS’ HOLIDAYS Although Sign Solutions recognises that absence from work is often unavoidable, as a token of appreciation and recognition, a discretionary ‘Bonus Day’ holiday can be awarded to employees who have a continuous period of work without any absences in any one calendar year, subject to the following conditions. ELIGIBILITY Any member full or part-time member of staff who has regularly been available to work and completed a full twelve-month period, commencing the first working day after 1st January, with no absences*1work will be eligible to receive a Bonus Day*2 at the start of the following year. Bonus days are awarded at the absolute discretion of the Agency Manager. *1 Absence is defined as any period of unavailability to work, including but not limited to, sickness (self-certificated or otherwise) and paid or unpaid leave (excluding authorised annual leave). Where the absence relates to paid or unpaid leave (excluding authorised annual leave, the Agency Manager shall use their discretion in determining whether a Bonus Day should be awarded. *2 A Bonus Day is defined as a bonus reward and not an employee benefit or entitlement. Exceptionally, a Bonus Day may be awarded for any other reason, at the discretion of the Managing Director. Any sickness leave taken as unpaid leave or annual leave will affect your bonus day entitlement. Associate Interpreters /zero-hour workers are not eligible to receive Bonus days PROCEDURE Bonus Days are valid for twelve months only and do not form part of your Annual Leave accrual. However, the procedure for booking such days is as described in the Annual Leave policy. Bonus Days may be taken at any time during the year. V2.9 170921
