Rama is the in-dweller in everybody. He is the Source of Bliss (Atma-Rama), the Rama in every individual. His blessings confer peace and bliss. He is the very embodiment of dharma, showing through His life, how to discharge one’s duties as a King, husband, son, brother, friend and a redeemer of all. The Ramayana, the Rama story, teaches two lessons: the value of detachment and the need to become aware of divinity in every being. Faith in God and detachment from objective pursuits are the keys for human liberation. Give up sense objects, and you gain Rama. Sita gave up the luxuries of Ayodhya so she could be with Rama during His exile. When she cast longing eyes on the golden deer and craved it, she lost Rama's presence. Where Rama is there, Kama (desire) does not exist; and where there is Kama (desire), Rama does not exist – so Rama and Kama do not go together. ~RAMAKATHA RASAVAHINI PART 1 - INNER SIGNIFICANCE~

Swamiji, Where did this mantra come from? The mantra Twameva comes from the Pandava Gita, an anonymously compiled collection of verses from several ancient sacred Hindu texts (Mahabharata, Bhagavata, and Vishnu Purana) Swamiji, I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND. CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN FURTHER? It is also called the song of surrender, as the overarching theme of this sacred hymn is complete surrender to the divine. Its verses are widely chanted by those seeking to experience the wisdom said to be contained therein. Oh wow. Thank you Swamji. I understand better now
But Swamiji, I heard the tale of tulsidas? Who is he swamiji? He, my child, is someone who will be able to explain this mantra in a more detailed manner. I had a chat with him over the phone recently. Would you like to see to understand the mantra better? Yes Swamiji. i WANT TO SEE TO UNDERSTAND BETTER.
Tulsidas Tulsidas, who are you actually? Do you have a family? I am a famous saint poet who is also an orphaned child. I do not have a family but I was looked after my maternal uncle. My uncle always told me that my parents were Lord Rama. But as I gre older, I relaised that parents are supposed to stay with their children and not be seperated from them.
Tulsidas But I always wondered, how is it that my parents live in a temple in pomp and splendor, surrounded by people. Leaving me all alone. :( Oh, that is awful, Tulsidas. Were you not curious about your parents? I was. So I decided to creep into the temple in the night, looking for my parents.
Tulsidas I found the statue of my parents and held it close to me. I began to cry asking for food as I was thirsty and hungry. I asked Lord Ram why was I livng alone and why do they not care for me. But He did not reply. Oh dear Lord. What happened then?!
Tulsidas I thought of taking the statue back home as I believe a child should stay with their parents. But I was stopped by the priests of the temple. Were the priests angry with you for taking the statue? Did they try to punish you? I tried explaining to them but they chased me until I fell into a garden of tulsi plants and became unconcious.
Tulsidas Oh my god! Were you alright, Tulsidas? It must have hurt so badly that you were unconcious. Yes, I was hurt quite bad. But there was a saint called Ramanand, who lifted me and consoled me. Since he found me in the garden, I was named Tulsidas. Who was this mysterious man, Thulsidas? Did he just appear from thin air? He told me that Lord Rama sent him to be my father and my mother.
Tulsidas Ever since, I have been named as Tulsidas. Saint ramanand did not only take care of me, but showed me the meaning od true devotion and also gave me education. Always remember this Thulsidas. Lord alone is the mother, father, Guru, friend and guide & wealth for us. If only we look to Him, then He will look to us. Yes that is very true! I understand that now. Anyway, I think its better for me to go now. I have to do my homework. Take care! :) Content: Prashanthini Jayakumaran Designing: Venisa Mariappan

Swami says “It is only in the depth of silence that the voice of God can be heard”. Please share one of Swami's beautiful leelas that you've had the pleasure of experiencing. Swami came into my life at the age of 16 without even me realising who he is. I was wondering who this guy is with His hairstyle as such. I didn’t know that one day He would make a lot of difference in my life. Today, He is my best friend and there is nothing without Him in my life. He walks with me in my journey called “Life” and every decision, or anything that happens in my life, He has known everything. So, I am not able to specify anything because my life is Him.
Once Aristotle said, “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light”. What inspires you to focus on the light most of the time, if not constantly in life? Well, I would like to differ on this. . Bhagawan has given us the light of life the moment we step our foot in this mother earth. All we need to do is protect and care for the light to ensure it does not blow off. The best is to take it in the Journey of Love and you can rest assure, that you will not encounter any darkness. In a nutshell, when Swami is with you, there is no darkness in your life. Today's world is extremely demanding. How do you divide your time between work, family, leisure and God? Well, it’s quite simple. You just need to invest in a few different colour of caps. Change it each time to suit the occasion. You wear the cap of a father or a husband when you’re at home. You wear the cap of a son when you are with your parents. You wear the cap of a boss when you are at the office. Remember one thing, the colour of cap changes. The cap is still GOD. God is with you all the time. With that, you will not have problem dividing your time.
Most of us have some form of motivation to keep us going throughout the day, what's yours? Everyday is a gift from Swami. The biggest trust and confidence we have with Swami is when we close our eyes real tight with the hope of that we will rise again. Make use of the fullness of each day by travelling in the journey that Swami has paved for us. \"What we think, we become” says Buddha. How would you describe yourself to yourself? By being yourself. We tend to show many different characters when it comes to the society, friends or even families. By doing this, you are carrying an impostor face within you. So the best way to describe yourself, to yourself is, “Do not change yourself. Do not lie to yourself. Do not have a different faith within you.”
The youths are the hope for the future. Please share a piece of advice with them. Yes, youths are the hope of the future. Today’s youths are very lucky to step foot in this era. They do not have chance to experience life without technology. The moment they are born in this world, technology is within them. I only have one advice for them. Dare to be different. Believe in yourself and never give up until you experience the nectar of success because in today’s world, every decision of the youth is influenced by the external factor. This somehow rather demotivate them or they intend to give up much more earlier than they should. So, dare to be different and be yourself. Never ever give up and you have experience the nectar of success. Content and Design: Venisa Mariappan

Since the children of Dasaratha were born, two of the four children in particular did not seem to appear fine. Lakshmana would always wail, and Satrughna would appear weak and tired all the time. Their mothers began to worry about them, as nothing seemed to make them any better. The Queens sent for Vasishta, and asked him for advice and what they could do to take care of the children.
Vasishta thought for a minute and spoke. He told the Queens that curing the children by normal means will not work, and the children yearn for something that mortals cannot understand. He then told the queens to listen to his advice, and the children will be happy. Vasishta told the Queen to place Lakshmana next to Rama. The very instant the wailing stopped, and laughter began!
As for Satrughna, when the Queens asked Vasishta for advice this time to, Vasishta told the queens to place him next to Bharatha. Sumitra then immediately did as she was told, and could not believe her eyes, when Satrughna and Bharatha appeared to be in an unbounded state of bliss. Sumitra had undying love for her twins, but she felt anxious when she was away from one of her children whilst tending
for another. She consulted Vasishta to help ease her burden, and Vasishta spoke of the truth about her twins. Vasishta told Sumitra that Lakshmana is a part of Rama, and Satrughna is a part of Bharatha! Sumitra felt joyous as she heard those words, and she left after receiving the sage’s blessings. She then learned that her children were born from the shares of payasam given by the other two Queens.
Their true mothers were Kaika and Kauslayaa, just as much as Sumitra was herself. Sumitra felt relieved and entrusted her children to Kaika and Kausalyaa, taking care of their children with love and joy..

A SACRED SAGA PRASANTHI NILAYAM SAI GEETHA Her Pure Devotion and the Lord is a match made in heaven. She is in PEACE & BLISS only with her Swami. Swami treated her as part of Himself - not as an elephant with a soul but as a soul that had donned the form of an elephant Sai Geeta’s life is just one among the many animal pets of Swami that displayed human emotions and super- human, divine traits.
THE EPITOME OF PURITY PRASANTHI NILAYAM Certain elders mentioned to Swami the idea of sending her to the forest for a short while for breeding. After much persuasion, Swami agreed to send her to Mudhumulai forest with 2 mahouts. Sai Geetha was least interested in other elephants. She was aware of the route to Puttaparthi and multiple nights she escaped but was found using her footprints. When the mahouts realized that she will never mate, with Swami's permission, they returned to Puttaparthi. After the return, upon elders' request, a urine test was done and the result showed she was pregnant. The mahouts were sure beyond doubt that no crossing took place in the forest, but nobody believed them. Even Swami, apparently, held to what the doctor said The d-day was approaching and the doctor finally announced that she would deliver in the next week. Days passed but there was no news. A month later, the doctor u-turned his announcement saying she is not pregnant. Thereafter, Swami emphatically declared the following: Sai Geetha is a Shuddha Brahmacharini. She has come for me. She has never and will never mix with any elephant. With love Venisa & Prashanthini
