dallas arts district PARKING GARAGE Dallas, TX, USA / Ashford Formula / Rhonda Clinton & Cass Rochelle In the Dallas Arts District in Texas there are two adjoining parking garages which have been densified using the Ashford Formula. The first parking garage was built in 1985 - an HKS Architects project - where Ashford Formula was used as a stand alone cure to densify, harden and dustproof the concrete floor in a single, permanent application. The second parking garage, which was a joint venture with the City of Dallas, was wet cured following the initial application of Ashford Formula. This photo, taken a few years ago, highlights how well the concrete floors have performed, even after decades of use. The Ashford Formula has protected and provided a durable surface for both parking garages, has provided excellent chemical resistance, ease of maintenance, and long term performance. The overarching goal was to provide a safe, durable and long lasting floor surface that was also attractive enough to complement the beautiful art on the walls leading into the Meyerson Symphony Center.
