Animal trainers train animals for riding, harness, security, and performance. They also train animals that help diabled people. They accustom animals to human voices and also contact, like petting or picking up without biting or growling. If you want to put your pet in a competition they can also help with that. They can train your animal to carry packs and things like that.
You have to carry up to 20 lbs on the job. You also have to a lot of lifting, pushing, and pulling. You sometimes have to move around a lot like bending and twisting. The weather can be either very hot or very cold. Sound and noise is very distracting. It requires being outside most of the time. This job involves standing, walking, and running.
You have to be an active listener. You also have to have a loud voice and stern to talk to the pet. You also have to be an active learner. You have to be good at monitoring because you have to watch over the animal.
