A bartender usually cleans glasses, utensils, and bar utensils. They collect the money that was handed for the drinks. They check the identification and ID of customers ages to verify purchase of alcohol. They are very persuasive and try to limit customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated customers. They serve dierent varieties of wine, and boled or draft beer. Plans, organizes, and controls the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar. Stocks bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.

A bartender often handles items that weigh 10-20 lbs. They are mostly doing a lot of walking or standing. Some people might sit but have to manage dierent items, machines, and utensils. This job involves bending or twisting your body one-third plus of the time. They have good eye and hand coordination and use their hands more than one-third of the time. Working in this job requires being inside and limits time in the outdoors. This occupation involves making repetitive motions more than one-third of the time as well as running, walking, and standing.
