SIYASIP can be understood as a blend of "siyasat" (meaning "investigate" or "inquire") and "isip" (meaning "thought" or "mind") with prudence and foresight. SIYASIP conveys the idea of mindful imagination, mindful anticipation, and thoughtful inquiry and foresight. This term aptly reflects the Filipino proverb “Anuman ang gawin, pitong beses iisipin. Huwag kang padalos-dalos.” (Whatever you do, think about it seven times. Don’t rush.). The magazine's mission is to share knowledge and insights on futures literacy and anticipatory governance, promoting in-depth understanding and cases of forward-thinking approaches.
