VOLUME : 3 ISSUE : 6 November 2016 U.A.E FLAG DAY The United Arab Emirates (UAE) FlagDay is a national occasion where people ofthe UAE remember the efforts of the foundersof their State, Sheikh Zayed and SheikhRashid, and their brothers who sacrificedeverything for the sake of their nation. It is aday when the national spirit is renewed, andan occasion to reflect on the achievements ofthe era of the President H.H. Sheikh Khalifabin Zayed Al Nahyan.The UAE flag represents meanings ofjustice, peace, tolerance, power andmoderation, under which all Emiratis live adecent life and enjoy security and ability.This comes in continuation of the legacy ofthe late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan



CHILDREN’S DAYChildren’s day (also known as Bal -Divas) in India iscelebrated every year on 14th of November to increase theawareness of people towards the rights, care andeducation of children. Children are the key of success anddevelopment of the country as they would lead theircountry in different and new technological way. They areadorable and shine same like the precious pearls. Childrenare the God gifts to their parents by the almighty. Theyare innocent, admirable, pure and loved by everyone14th of November (birthday of Pandit JawaharlalNehru) has been set to celebrate as children’s day all overthe India.At our school the tiny tots of grades 1 & 2 gave asmall presentation on Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in theassembly



INNOVATION WEEK Innovation can refer to something new or to a changemade to an existing product, idea, or fieldInnovation can be viewed as the application of bettersolutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, orexisting market needs. Students at Al Saad Indian School presentedinnovations that put forth the ideas that came into theirminds , with a lot of excitement and vigour. An exhibitionof these was done showing their talents and some werealso good in explaining their presentations.Students of grade 7, 8 , 9 exhibited theirentrepreneurship by putting up stalls of differentkinds. The amount that they earned was handed over toPrincipal Ma’am for doing charity work for the needy.



U.A.E SPORTS DAYNovember 25 has been declared as the National Sports Day, themed‘UAE Unites US’. The UAE National Sports Day aims atpromoting healthy living, sporting competition which will helpcreate a harmonious society.Physical education and sport have an educational impact. Changescan be seen in (i) motor skills development and performance and (ii)educational potential. This shows the positive relationship betweenbeing involved in physical activities and psychosocialdevelopment. Through participation in sport and physicaleducation, young people learn about the importance of key valuessuch as:HonestyTeamworkFair playRespect for themselves and others

It also provides a forum for young people to learn how todeal with competition and how to cope with both winningand losing. The children were full of enthusiasm and excite-ment as they had been waiting for this special dayof theirs. It was really a heart whelming experienceto see the children exhibit-



AL AIN MALL SCIENCE EXHIBITION The students of out school were taken for a scienceexhibition held at The Alain Mall to exhibit some of their works.

THE SCIENCE INDIA FORUM (SIF) The SIF Science India Forum , conducted their 24thnational congress science council and in the junior levelfrom Alain , the students of our school were the only ones to get selected

ABUDHABI SCIENCE FESTIVAL On 22nd November , as a part of the Innovationweek , Abudhabi Science Festival was conducted inwhich our students were a part.

STEAM QUIZ The students of grades 7, 8 , 9conducted the Quiz for the students ofgrades 1 and 2 ; 3 and 4 ; 5 and 6

IBT AND SOF COMPETITIVE EXAMS To improve the 21st century skills of thechildren , The Bhavans have been conducting theIBT and SOF examinations pertaining toMathematics, Science and English subjects. Thesehelp the children to prepare themselves for thecompetitive exams that they would come across intheir future endeavors .

U.A.E NATIONAL DAYNational Day is the celebration of the independenceand subsequent unification of the Emirates in 1971.Yawm Al Watani , translated \"National Day,\" iscelebrated every December 1st and 2nd The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a union ofseven distinct Arab kingdoms located on the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula and borderingthe Persian Gulf. There were separate pavillions put up bythe students and teachers, representing the sevendifferent emirates that constituted the U.A.E .Each pavillion showed different attractions ofthat particular emirate. Each of these wasdecorated beautifully projecting the colours ofthe U.A.E national flag.



COMMEMORATION DAY-- 30 NOVEMBERWednesday November 30, marks the UAE’s secondCommemoration Day, which is all about remembering those thatsacrificed their lives both at home and abroad in military andhumanitarian fields. The UAE’s flag was lowered at 8am at theschool and remained lowered until the minute of silence had beenobserved.There was a minute of silent prayer from 11:30 am to 11:31am inhonour of the country’s heroes.The flag was then raised by the Director of our school Mr.Suraj Ramachandran at 11:31am along with the nationalanthem.
