There is nothing more energizing than the smiles and sounds ofchildren in school. We want the school to be the best part of yourchild’s day and a place where children feel happy and engaged,and where parents feel welcome and involved .We are very proudof our students and staff! 1

A tribute to the man of non-violence, theexemplary of peace and the light offreedom. Bhavans Al Ain pays homageand celebrates the birthday of the Fatherof the Nation.It was a great moment to witness the presentation done by theSocial Studies department. Students dressed up as Gandhiji cameon to the stage and paved the way for the gathering to recollectthe works done by the legend. It was a mesmerizing experiencefor Bhavans Al Ain family to be a part of the assembly celebratingthe birthday of Bhapuji. As a part of following the vision ofGandhiji, on the day of celebration, the whole family of BhavansAl Ain took the initiative to have a cleanliness drive at the schoolpremises. 2

'' Of all the hard jobs around, one of the hardest is being thebest teacher'' Nothing is better than sharing knowledge and, in every person, lies a good teacher. A teacher is always a Motivator, Scaffolder, Parent and a guide for the students. Each child will have a teacher, who has enlightened their life. The students of Grades 8,9, & 10 presented a wonderful assembly in connection with International Teachers’ Day showcasing the importance of education and teachers. The events of the day were completely organized by the students of grades 8,9 &10 who were the icons of the day. They took up the charge of each teacher and taught various classes. 3

It was an astounding performance by the students, the way ofmanaging students and delivering the thought. Bhavans Al Ain evengave an opportunity to parents to bring out the teacher in them. Afew parents came to the class well prepared and shared theirknowledge in an excellent manner. The day ended with wonderfulevents programmed for teachers to explore their talents. 4

“Try changing your mental healthstigma’’. World Mental Health day provides an opportunity \"for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide\". To share the ideas about the importance of this day, the students of grade 2 B conducted a special assembly. 5

A girl is a baby, a sister and a mother. A world without amother is the land without Goddess.The students of grade 2 C conducted a special assembly in connection withthe day’s celebration depicting all the stages of a girl in her lifetime and theimportance of safeguarding them.The school observed the importance ofobserving gender equality in the presentworld . The more we educate, the more weeliminate problems. To give awareness tovalue of girl and the successful emergence ofgirls and young women as a distinct cohort indevelopment policy, programming,campaigning and research, we celebrateInternational Day of The Girl Child atBhavans’ Al Ain. 6

So, to refresh and re-think about the future life, Grade 1 C presented a special assembly on World Food Day to make the new generation say ‘No’ to unhealthy food habits and to care for the needy to eschew poverty. 7

A special assembly was conducted by Grade 1 C students in connection with Navarathri celebration to seek the blessings of almighty God to make people come out of darkness, of the lack of the true knowledge, to kill all the evil in mind and get purified, and to brighten the souls with true light. The gracious dance by the lovely talents was a visual treat for the ASIS family.The day showcased theunity and oneness ofASIS family through thecelebration conductedfor teachers, where allwere in the mood of joyirrespective of regionand religion. 8

People who stutter have the unique opportunity to teach the world tolisten. The ignorance and bullying by others frazzle them more thanfacing difficulties while they talk. It is important to understand other’sfeelings. One in five children stutter for at least a short period of time,and one in 100 adults struggle with fluency on a regular basis. Mostpeople know someone – a family member, a friend, a co-worker or aclassmate – who stutters. So as a part of providing awareness to thefuture society Bhavans’ Al Ain celebrated the International StutteringDay through various demonstrations. Students of Grade 10 presentedthe assembly, where all students were stuttering. Through theirpresentation they showed how such people are been accepted by thesociety. The presentation was very informative and reliable. 9

The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization tasked to promote internationalco-operation and to create and maintain international order. The organization wasestablished on 24 October 1945 after World War II .Executing andmaintaining rules andlaws for a large majorityis not a simple task. TheHeadquarters at NewYork City for differentorganizations has its ownaims and achievements.United Nations iscomposed of 193 nationstoday and is anintergovernmentalorganization tasked topromote international co-operation and to createand maintaininternationalorder. As a citizen, eachindividual needs to beaware about theresponsibilities of theseorganizations and howthey implement it. 10

The exquisite talents are to be admired. The artist speaks through their worksand conquers the world. All are not blessed with the aesthetic ability, but the onewho has it can explore….Art has been an important part of the human experiencefor time immemorial. The first records of the world are not written in books, butare captured in paintings, sculptures, and music that helps to paint a picture ofworld lost to the past. Whether it’s revealing a style of dress worn in a period tothe clothing worn in the painting, or the slight here say’s hidden in some of theworld’s most religious works, art can reveal a hidden or lost side of us to thepresent.International Artists Day honors those creative souls that will leave a record oftoday for the future that can’t be captured in history books. The anguish and joyof the human soul is portrayed through the haunting tones of a melody, theviolence and fury caught in a photograph, or the serene gaze of a statue staringoff into eternity. Bhavans’ Al Ain is very proud to have a large number of artistsand having renowned personalities to scaffold the upcoming artists. To honorthem, Bhavans’ Al Ain celebrated International Artist Day. As a part of thecelebration, we conducted a coloring competition. 11

“To make children aware how animation has changed our lives (Entertainmentto Education). Animation has changed boring lectures to fun, entertaining, andeducational cartoons”, Where you lose yourself into characters, there emerges animation- the art of creativity. The intention of the day’s celebration is to commemorate the first public performance of Charles-Émile Reynaud's Théâtre Optique at the Grevin Museum in Paris, 1892. On this special occasion, Grade 7 B conducted a special assembly explicating the history behind the origin of animation. 12

“‘The neurons that connect Nations” A life without Internet is unimaginable. Nowadays, internet is the most effective instrument we have for globalization. Everything is available in one touch. Many of our lives are controlled by these factors. For all queries, there lies the answer. People are very reluctant to talk about them, but when they search the internet, it is more open. As a coin has two sides, everything poses positives and negatives. So to create an awareness of the usage and disadvantages of Internet, Grade 7 B conducted a special assembly of International Internet Day. 13

Bhavans’ Al Ain family proudly rekindle the venture - 'THE VOICE OF ASIS', an absolute radio show incorporating the news and events to showcase the upcoming talents. Sky is not the limit…we are flying high...The true spirit and hard work of Bhavans’ Al Ain family is executed in every way possible. One among them is our new venture VOICE OF ASIS. It opens a platform for children to showcase their talents and become an inspiration for others. Creative and innovative thoughts always develop a positive attitude among children and makes learning interesting. The vision of the school radio station gladdens the children where music, art, culture and knowledge blend together. Every Thursdays, all are eager to know about the new updates and events on air. The energetic and enthusiastic children and teachers come up with their new ideas. As a result, we continue the journey of Excellency. 14

According to the instructions of the Central Vigilance Commission, the Vigilance Awareness Week wasobserved, from 29th October to 3rd November 2018 with the theme ‘Eradicate Corruption-Build a NewIndia. To promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life, Al Saad Indian School, Al Ain ,Abu Dhabi(UAE), organized a plethora of activities during the Vigilance Awareness Week sensitizing thestudents on this issue.The following activities were conducted by theschool:1. Administering ‘Integrity Pledge” on 29/10/2018 during morning assembly.In accordance with the guidelines issued by theDirectorate of Education, an Integrity Pledge forstudents was conducted in the morningassembly.The Principal Dr Bhavana Gupta conducted thepledge and encouraged the students to restoreto fair and honest means in their conduct. 15

“‘Prevention is better than cure.’” Al SAAD Indian School, AL Ain has arranged Breast Cancer Awareness Program in connection with breast cancer awareness month. Miss. Sivapriya Nambiar , Staff Secretary, Al Saad Indian School, welcomed the chief guests Dr. Yusr( Specialist family medicine ,Medeor Hospital, Al Ain) & Mr.Dayan Kurian (Marketing manager of Medeor Hospital) along with the participants.Dr.Yusr, Specialist family medicine, Early identification and earlyMedeor Hospital, Al Ain took forward intervention plays an important rolethe session. Bhavans Al Ain provides information and knowledge in all the ways possible tosafeguard our children. As a part of student counselling, our school counsellorconducted a session for Grades 1 to 4 about good touch and bad touch. The sessionwas separate for girls and boys. The informative session provided awareness aboutsaving one’s body. Through various slides and presentation Ms.Mary Joseph, ourschool counsellor explained to the children, how to protect themselves and how toreact when such incidents happen in life. 19

अल साद इंडियन स्कू ल मंे ड ंदी डदवस का आयोजन अल साद इंडियन स्कू ल अलेन मंे 14 अक्टू बर 2018 को ड ंदी डदवस मनाया गया I इसके अंतगगत बच्ों द्वारा डवडिन्न कायगक्रमों का आयोजन डकया गया I बच्ों द्वारा िाषण, गीत, कडवताएँ और मंशी प्रेमचंद द्वारा रडचत ईदगा पर नाटक प्रस्तत डकया गया एवं नारे डलखे गए । स्कू ल की प्रधानाचायाग के द्वारा बच्ो का मागग- दशगन डकया गया तथा संयक्त अरब अमीरात के डशक्षा मंत्रालय के सदस्ों द्वारा िी कायगक्रम की सरा ना की गई। As an expat, it takes us to the zenith of happiness while celebrating our nation’s honorary days in our second homeland. Our student delegates took the role of diplomats, behaved in a diplomatic manner, followed the parliamentary procedures and showed politeness and courtesy at all times. It helped them develop the knowledge, skills, understanding and values to participate in decisions individually and collectively, both locally and globally, that will improve the quality of life without damaging the planet for the future. While presenting the country profile, children acquired an understanding of cultural traditions and an ability to appreciate and respond to a variety of aesthetic experiences. It developed their appreciation of their own and different beliefs and cultures, and how these influence individuals and societies. The research work and paper presentation, helped to develop their awareness and understanding and respect for, the environment in which they live, and secure their commitment to sustainable development at a personal, local, national and global level. The resolution represented a great deal of work by the students and helped them to become creative, innovative, enterprising and capable of leadership to equip them for their future lives as responsible citizens. And more-over it promotes equal opportunities and enables students to challenge discrimination and stereotyping. .Eventually it was a productive experience for all the participants and the audience We are responsible to promote pupils' moral, social and cultural development and, in particular, develop principles for distinguishing between right and wrong. So without any doubt we can say that all the aspects of 21st century skills were well integrated into the subject matter of Global Conclave. 23

The utilization of opportunities in the right way creates thebetter person in future. The young entrepreneurs of BhavansAl Ain showcased their talents in business through their artworks in Mehandi designing; face painting, glass paintingand popcorn sale on the Open House day where parents,teachers and students met. It was a wonderful experience forthe students as well as parents on the day, as it created somejoyful moments and eliminated boredom. Children wereeager to do face paintings. The entrepreneur earned anamount which was worthwhile. The aim of creating such apavilion was to showcase their talents and to use the earningsfor charity works. 25

There is nothing to be surprised when we notice some talented ones at our campus. It is nothing but hereditary. Not only the students of Bhavans Al Ain are talented, but also their parents. The contemporary writer, poet and online publisher Ms.Gisha Raju, the mother of Badari Raj and Adhi Raj got felicitated at 5th Sharjah International Book Fair for her works in Malayalam. Sharjah International Book Fair is the second largest book fair in the world. One of her story named ORMAPPOOKAL also got published in the journal of Sharjah Book Fair. Her more works are to be published soon\"The more that you read, the more things you will know. Themore that you learn, the more places you will go.\" To acquire the habit of reading is to construct for yourself a refuge from almost all the miseries of life. A good book can be hugely satisfying, can teach you about things beyond your daily horizons, and can create characters so vivid you feel as if you really know them. If reading is a habit you’d like to get into, there are a number of ways to cultivate it. First, we should realize that reading is highly enjoyable, if you have a good book. To bring out the avid reader in themselves, students and teachers of ASIS got an opportunity to experience and to be a part of the world of knowledge and at 'AL AIN BOOK FAIR...' 28
