It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching and learning ma-terial. The materials are meant to be used both by the students on their own and with their teacher toexplore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop an interest in mathematics. The activities create interest among students or in anybody who wants to explore, and test some oftheir ideas, beliefs about mathematics. Bhavan’s MélangeEach child is an artist. Bhavan’s mélange is a multi cultural fest for the students to explore their scholastic and co-scholastic skills. ASIS has offered a wonderful platform for the students between grades 3 and 10 to not only ex-plore their talents and skills but also gave an opportunity for the newcomers to get close to the classmates, schoolmates and the teachers. It is an Interhouse Competion: Athena house, Jupiter house, Pluto house and Ve-nus house respectively. The winners add points to their respective house which will bring laurels as a rolling tro-phy at the end of the academic year.
Parent’s voice“The greatest sign of success for a teacher...is to be able to say, ‘The children are nowworking as if I did not exist.’”I am Arishya, parent of Ridha Ibrahim – 9A, as a parent I want my child to go to school that emphasizes our spiritualvalues, aligns with our child’s academic interest, I felt that this school encourages parental involvement in the commu-nity.We have preferred your school because we have enquired and understood that this school is giving preference to the stu-dent’s development. Moreover, they are getting individual attention. The remedial classes are much appreciable. The AlSaad Indian School is very good. The staffs are friendly and treat the children like their own. The teaching standard ishigh. They are very supportive for any of our concerns. The school has nurtured the potential and talent of my daughter. This transition and outcome is only because of the hard work of the teachers. The teachers and the school authorities are taking much effort for the curricular and co-curricular development of thestudents. They were very kind and very particular about student’s development. We expect the same throughout theyear. We are happy with the school facilities made for the students. I am sure that my child can improve a lot with thesupport and care of the teachers. As a parent, one feels so thankful for the proactive teachers and equally grateful for the non-teaching staffs that are con-stantly vigilant to ensure the safety and the wellbeing of all students. It gives me immense happiness to have chosen theright and the best school for my child. Thank you for giving all the wonderful opportunities to my daughter. We are so glad to be associated with Bhavan’s and to know such wonderful people silently doing a brilliant job day in &out. With regardsArishya
Student’s voice My new school experience“The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you”A school is a place for learning. It is a training ground for the students. Here we form a new association; we comein contact with students of different temperament and form new ideas and habits. My first day of school taught me to not always expect bad things out of life, but to expect the good things thatcome. I expected my first day to be full of loneliness and anxiety, but it wasn’t as I thought it would be. My firstday in my new school is remembered for this event, which will remain forever fresh in my memory. I didn’t reallywant to come to school because I felt a bit difficult to go to a new environment after spending ten years in my pre-vious school, where I literally grew up. I was scared, but somehow I found my way through the maze by one ofmy known friends at school. I was very anxious yet excited. I felt a new rhythm of life and returned home withmixed sense of duty and liberty. The classroom was stuffed with group of students like me. I didn’t know anyone. The first day was all about intro-duction and discussion on the course content for the year. In our class, every child is a different kind of flower andwe altogether make our class a beautiful garden. My class is very interactive and funny. The first week was spentby reinforcing the previous knowledge and we had group activity were I got to interact with my fellow mates. Ateacher is the person, who shapes the future of everyone by providing best education to her/his students. My classteacher Ms. Sivapriya is supportive and encouraging, she makes us love her subject which is mathematics. Thereis no difference for the other teachers too. They all make us love their subjects and teach us in a way we want tolearn. The next unforgettable event was the Investiture ceremony, where some of the students were given with some po-sitions in the student body council. I was elected as a Prefect for Athena house. Here, I got a chance to execute myleadership skills. The next colorful event was Mélange. It was a new experience for me. This program was a good opportunity forme to bring out my talents and present myself in front of everyone. I could see the energy radiated by the studentsand how they brought out their hidden talents both in cultural and literary items. It was such a great day which wasunforgettable in my list of events. Thanks to the management and the principal for giving me admission in such a great school. All thanks to myteachers for planting the seeds of knowledge amongst us and to others for their support and guidance. I really en-joy each day in school with my teachers and friends. Ridha Ibrahim , 9A
