PRERANAVolume : 3 Issue: 1NEW ACADEMIC YEAR –2016-2017The re-opening of the school for the new academicyear 2016-2017 was on the 10th of April,2016.The re-opening day was marked by apresentation of special welcome assembly by thesenior students. The Head boy and Head girl of theprevious year lead the assembly. The new studentswere given a heartfelt warm welcome by singing awelcome song. The function was held at the schoolAuditorium, and our honorable PrincipalMrs.Saroja Sahadevan presided the functionOur Principal, Saroja Sahadevan explained thefacilities and policies of the school. The functionstarted with the School prayer Gayathri Mantraand Holy verses from Holy Quran was recited, andall the other normal assembly items were present-ed by students. The students presented aninspirational melody and a dance.The Academic coordinator Ms. Jennifer explainedabout the academics. School EHS Officer Mr. Vinod,Child Protection Officer Mr. Sethunath explainedthe EHS and Child Protection policies of the school.







INDUCTION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTSA School Induction programme wasorganized for parents to make them awareof the school’s policies and practices onthe scholastic and non-scholastic activi-ties on the 09th of April, at School Audito-rium. Our Director Mr. SoorajRamachandran presided the function.Principal Mrs. Saroja sahadevan gave anintroduction of the school’s academic andco-scholastic policies. Academic co coordi-nator Mrs. Jennifer Rufus explained it to theparents with the aid of a power pointpresentation. All the teaching staff were in-troduced to the parents. The registrationsto the NIP programme was also open at aspecial counter.An interactive session with the parentswere also conducted for clearing anydoubts of the parents. SCHOOL CABINET ELECTION @ BHAVANSThe school cabinet elections were conducted on 13thApril, 2016 in a democratic way at the school auditorium.The event started with the introductory speeches by thecandidates for the various posts. The candidates spokeabout their best if elected. After this the election was con-ducted in a democratic way by casting the votes into bal-let boxes. The various posts were, School Head Boy,School Head Girl, Magazine Editor and School Sports cap-tain.The following students were elected.School Head Boy – Varghese Binu VargheseSchool Head girl - Shine Teresa ShibuMagazine Editor - Santhwana SanthoshSports captain - Abhinav Sashidharan The students of the school is divided into four houses and each House consists of a Captain and Vice- captain.Jupiter house – Captain – Eti Viras, Vice captain – Yashwanth kumarAthena house – Captain – Shifana Khan, Vice Captain – Parthiv VarmaPluto house – Captain – Farhan Sahil, Vice Captain – Mirza Mubarak





AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON HEALTHY & UNHEALTHY FOODAn awareness programme on healthy &unhealthy food, as well the preferablefood items that children can bring toschool was conducted by the Schoolnurse ath the Assembly area on 20thApril 2016. An interactive session alsowas there in which students cleared alltheir doubts .

Special Assembly by Math ClubThe Math Club week was conducted from 25th April 2016 to 27thApril 2016 and Special Assemblies were conducted by the Clubon all days in a grand manner. The club presented interestingitems like Math Puzzle, power point presentation etc. and im-portant and interesting facts were presented too. The club dedi-cated their one day in memory of the renowned mathematician,Ramanujan.
