3 WHAT I love discovering small villages, back roads and deserted stretches of beach. Whether it's eating fresh mussels on the Normandy coast or a simple pasta in an out-of-the- way hilltop village in Italy, the thrill of being immersed in the local culture never fades. In 2022, I'm embarking on a unique annual adventure: travelling to those small gems in my own campervan for five months of the year. The idea of being completely independent and free appeals to me. Always having a place to sleep, cook my own food and taking a nap whenever I feel like it is as liberating as the open road. So that's the plan. And you're invited to come share those experiences with me.

And so the idea of shared camping trips was born. I'm not at all a seasoned camper, but I figured if everyone has their own space, most importantly a private bathroom, and are able to do as they please, it could work. And as long as you're surrounded by such beauty, history and raw charm, what more could you ask for?

5 WHERE Pick-up is from any major airport in France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain or the Benelux countries. This is especially convenient because you'll be settling into your new home from the get-go. Whichever route you want to take has to start in the country that you fly to. This is to eliminate long driving times. There's no point in flying to Athens when you actually want to explore the south of Spain! Drop-off is at the same airport. While I'm driving the camper between rest stops, you can simply relax in the comfortable seating area, help yourself to refreshments, or use the wi-fi and your phone to explore the attractions of the next village. If something looks interesting along our way, we stop. On arrival, I set up camp and then your time and privacy is yours, although we might well decide to cook a meal or have a glass of wine together! Explore the area, get stocked up with food at a village market, go wine tasting or simply kick back and do nothing. t's a self-catering trip, so cook whatever and whenever you please. Or go meander and discover a cozy restaurant. I'm on hand if you need any assistance, but essentially I'm in the background. The idea is that we visit less known, out- of-the-way destinations. We'll usually spend a day or two at a destination, parking either in an upmarket campsite or on an agriturismo farm and where possible, simply \"wild camp\" if the views are gorgeous!

Although I have researched dream itineraries (like a drive along the entire length of the Italian coast), I am completely open to exploring your preferred route.
