Glaze Variation This key serves to define the glazes thatdisplay variation through firing. The chemicalcomposition of some Rookwood glazes react differently through firing than others, leavinga range of color that adds beautiful dimension to your installation. Look for this key on the bottom left of each page to distinguish the variation of each glaze. V1 Uniform Minimal differences among pieces. V2 Slight Minor variation in color and texture throughout. V3 Moderate Clearly detectable differences in color throughout. V4 Considerable Capable of displaying wide range of textures and colors, with some similarities. V5 Substantial Unique colors and textures are evident from piece to piece.

Signature COLLECTION Rookwood’s Signature Glazes come in a variety of matte and gloss finishes. These glazes have minimal color variation from tile-to-tile and can be used with all Rookwood Tile lines. SignatureGlazes are a stunning compliment to both modern and classic installations.

Rookwood Clay Our proprietary clay formula is comprised of a unique blend of feldspar, quartz, silica and other minerals. When high fired at approximately 2200degrees Fahrenheit, it creates a vitreous stonewarethat is ready for glaze to be applied. With less than a 2% absorption rate, Rookwood Clay is capable of withstanding freeze/thaw, making it excellent for both exterior and interior installations.
