Smaller Sized ViolinsThe Lauro Matteo ViolinThe Matteo violin is my top recommendationfor students looking for a great sounding violinfor the price. I have played hundreds of violinsover the years, and this one has stood apartfrom the rest.
Beginner Quality ViolinsThe Raul Samuela ViolinThe Raul Samuela violin is a great soundinginstrument for the price. I would describethe sound as bright, with a great projectionon the higher strings. I would consider this asignificant sound upgrade from theMatteo, and a similar sound quality to theVitale. Electric Violins The Zebra Electric Violin The Zebra Electric Violin is a fun and creative violin that is suitable for the violin enthusiast. It is made of quality material and offers a beautiful appearance with a firm structure. It is equipped with all necessary accessories including the case, bow, rosin, cable, headset, and battery. Intermediate Quality ViolinsThe Viviano Vitale ViolinThe Viviano Vitale violin has an exceptional sound and ispriced extremely low compared to the sound quality itproduces. It is my favorite intermediate level violin, andhas proven to sound better than any other instruments Ihave played in this price range.
Brazilwood Bows (Low Grade)J. LaSalle Brazilwood | Violin Bow 4/4 - 1/16 The J. Lassalle brazilwood violin bow is a very inexpensive bow that is better than many other bows out there priced under $50. I recommend this bow as a good back up to your main bow, or a replacement bow if you are on a tight budget. Carbon Fiber Bows (Mid Grade)Louis Morino Carbon Fiber | Violin BowThe best quality carbon fiber violin bow that I recommend to students is theMorino. This bow brings out the best in anyinstrument, and is very similar to the feel of apernambuco bow. I like this bow better than theJ. LaSalle carbon fiber bow on my site, as it hasbetter overall craftsmanship and feel. If astudent is interested in my recommendation of abow under $250, I would suggest either this one,or the Levi violin bow on my site. These bows arepretty lightweight, so I wouldn't recommend it toa timid player. The weight doesn't vary muchfrom bow to bow, as they will almost always bebetween 58-59g. If you like the fact that thesebows are unbreakable, and you are more of anaggressive player, this bow will be a good fit.
Pernambuco Bows (Top Grade) Andre Levi Pernambuco | Violin BowIf you are looking for a premium quality violin bow at a great price, this is myfavorite bow for under $250. Pernambuco bows like this one have a greatresponse to violin playing, and this one in particular has an exceptional feel thatmakes playing difficult passages a lot easier. I have been recommending thisviolin bow to students for many years, and encourage you to take advantageof my trial program, where you can see for sure if it is the right bow for you. Irecommend choosing the option of a lighter stick below if you consider yourselfan aggressive player, and a heavy bow if you are more of a timid player. Pierre Martin Pernambuco Violin BowThis is my favorite bow that I recommend tostudents looking for a great bow tocompliment a nice instrument. I fell in love withthis bow about ten years ago, when I had theopportunity to try it out for the first time at theviolin shop where I was working. To this day, Istill haven't been able to find a bow that feelsbetter and helps out students more! The PierreMartin is unlike other bows I have played; it hasan outstanding flexibility, is easy to handle, and will greatly improve the quality of yoursound.
