ABOUT THE COVER For once in our lives, we have wished we could fly, to see a whole new perspective and to escape the chaos on the ground. We want to see a wider horizon, different from what we are used to. And in reality, there is no closer to seeing things in a different angle than photographs do. Just like flying, photographs are limitless to what it can convey. It is like the sky that bridges pure intention and different expressions. They aren't just images or objects in a box. Rather, they are stories to tell, memories with lessons and a message words cannot say. It is a form of art that needs no word, no tone and no strokes. In fact, photograph itself is a story and a music that lets you imagine of memories and future scenes. Just like flying, photographs take us to places and let us witness actions and happenings of people's lives. You see, photographs are a movement, not just a memory. And it can take us to a different height just like how flying takes us to the clouds. Dyan Rae G. Rapacon Managing Editor, The Review

Jezreel Larry R. Caunca The pandemic deprived us of two years of memories we could have created inside the campus. Despite this, our Editor-in-Chief, The Review time outside the university allowed us to pursue other things in our lives. Amidst the challenges of the current global health crisis, we strived to pursue our dreams and passion. We continue in capturing precious moments, hoping we will relive this someday. Photographs serve more than just preserved moments, they teach us to focus and find the correct angle in taking our shots. Just like in our lives, we will focus on the things we want to achieve, look for the right way or angle to realize our dreams and continue taking our shots, especially if at some point it will not work out. This edition of the photo folio from The Review, the official student publication of Northwestern University, manifests the precious stories of the students. Each photo signifies the desire of the students to showcase their work and for us to have a remarkable experience. It is a great platform to hear the students' sentiments, stories, and ideas through photographs. I am grateful to everyone who has made the creation of this issue possible. Join us and explore the stories through the lens of every Northwesternian. Fiat Lux!
I always believe that the universal language of photography is that,it communicate toward the heart. The contributors exerted effort to show you what needs to be seen and understood. There is no higher honor or privilege for me than to have spent my life surrounded by images and the incredible people who produce and share them. We divided the images into four categories: Beyond Horizon, Beyond Faces, Beyond Figures, and Beyond Taste. I hope you will observe the deep meaning of each photo in this folio. Jonh Lloyd Aquino Lead Photojournalist, The Review
