WeEMPOWER In 2015, SAHF acquired a grant from theMoneygram Foundation to  initiate a pilot programto teach English to Kindergarten and Elementary School children at Residencial Libertad's school complex. This allowed us to test in a private-public school, the acceptance of English as a new subject and the progress achieved by children using a  communicative approach methodology. This methodology provides results in the short term and is more effective as it allows childrento learn the language gradually and in the contextin which they develop in their daily life.  In 2017, the program was extended to students from kindergarten to high school.
