These days, the race brings dozens of sailors from the island and well beyond to the island for several days of top-notch racing and socializing. If you can’t race, watch the boats and the action while sitting at one of the many restaurants along the Charlottetown waterfront, including the Charlottetown Yacht Club, located downtown which is bustling with activities all summer. Social events include a sailors’ reception and closing night at Charlottetown Yacht Club, and a sailors’ night out at Peakes Quay. Everyone is welcome. If you’re racing all summer, head to Charlottetown after the Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race and then Chester Race Week after Charlottetown Race Week wraps up.
