1When you think of a newspaper staff, generally you think of older men a~women frantically racing against the clock to meet a deadlines. Well, at~an Journal, this is all true, except the staff is made up entirely of Jor _,High students. Throughout the year, staff members produce ® edition:n;spaper. The time and effort these motivated journalists dedicate to noaccomplishment includes countless investigations, research, a\"'<-interviews. In th1s day and age of technology, knowmg how to use a computer isa necess1ty Careers m nearly every field of study require employeesto use technology for a variety of reasons. It rs clear that B®®% of uswill need to use technology and computer skills at some point in life,both personally and professionally. Computer technology courses atJHS strive to prepare students for this with a foundation of computerknowledge and applicaton. ~Ill® students take this class in hopes oflearning more about computers. Students learn to type faster and moreefficiently as they are taught to use different programs like MicrosoftWord, Powerpoint, and Excel. By the end of the course, students shouldbe able to better understand a variety of computer applications.

Diversi y Means...The National PTA Reflections Program began in 1969 and was created by Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson. Designed to enhance ratherthan replace a quality arts education, 1t prov1des opportunities for students to express themselves and receive positive recognition for their art1stic efforts. Artistic exploration and express1on enhance and developintellectual, social and physical skills. Creativity is one of the fundamentals for 21st century learnmg for students. Students in preschool through grade 12 create and submit works of art to their local PTA or PTSA inspired by this years' theme, \"DIVERSITY MEANS... \" in 6 areas: Visual Arts, Literature, Photography, Mus1c and Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production.

At Jordan Highool, a variety of classes are offered to help studentsmeet their physical education requirement. But for moststudents, these classes do more than just meet theminimum fl.~ P.E. credit graduation requirement, theyprovide peace of mind, physical strength andempowerment, and a place to build friendships whilehaving a great time.
