The word Spring brings to mind flowers in bloom, snow melting, and shorts and sandals making their way to the front of ourclosets. It is the season of baseball, golf, softball,lacrosse, and tennis. With the sun shining and the cool breeze blowing, howcan you not help but be ingood spints? It is a time for ..fresh starts inside and out. Diggers were ready for March ~®th!





IIJI!llilii~iJordan n High 1 varsity cheer team is a Sfamiliar fixture at sporting events. Thegirls work hard to bring spirit, pride, andfun to the students. Through countlesshours of practice and collaboration, theHmembers helped man~ amemorable year for everyone!

- Theil girls who participated on the junior varsity cheerleadingteam will always remember the year with fond memories sharedbecause of their common love of cheering. The team is proudt~ .share how much they grew together while they worked so?11igently to bring the students of Jordan High together. This year was undeniably one to remember. The Charlonians had a fabulous season filled with best friends, challenging practices, and numerous accomplishments. The team spent a total of ®~n hours of intense practice from start to finish. TheChars went to five competitions and performed well at each. TheY took overall sweepstakes at the Clearfield competition, received fourth at their region competition, and brought home the fifthplace trophy in their dance routine at state. The team's theme torthe year was to ~~stand Out\" and they did just that by setting and accomplishing several of their goals. The Chars are a special team that share a unique bond with one another. The girlsconsider their teammates sisters and are the best of friends. TheCharlonians are a devoted team that love each other and love to dance.

Jordan H1gh students bleed maroon and gray. This yearPTSA has sold ~l§S® J-Fan t-shirts to the Beet Digger fans. Other items they sold th1s year were hoodies, sweats, t-shirts, scarfs, socks, c1nch sacks, and Jordan car decals.PTSA has also been Involved in many serv~ce opportunitiesand activities. It offers ~ different classes studentscan take for the club, including everything from auto nd woodworking to cosmetology! With such a iverse group of people, it was hard to narrow down e favorite memory, but the one they most agreed n was the opening social. Travis Lyman, President the club, said, \"It was great! We had a barbecueand I loved how everyone came together like thatand just chilled without the stress of school.\"

Society contributes ®liD® hours of service each year. Many of the members even exceed the required hours. In order to become a prestige member of the society, one must be enrolled in an AP class, honor class, or concurrent enrollment class. Members also have to maintain a ~ab7 GPA or higher, and- rc,r'CI\/C teacher recommendations. NHS gives much of their time to communitY service projects and the school's recycling program. NHS is a great place to serve and work amongst your closest friends.

The debate team usesop one, or the method of persuasion, to win their argument aga1nst their currentstric~~ents. The actual competitions contain explicit rules which the contender mustthe f Yfollow. Judges, who listen mtently to each side of the a:-gument, determmeiJrnm lnal outcome. In an oratory competition, the contestant is allowed onlyto thutes to speak. What one may not know is that there is an entire class ded1catededebate team at Jordan High School.

This ye~~ club members shared a favorite memory that involved working as a group to make sea iti~ for homeless children in Mexico. Members agreed that while they get frequent opport~ 11 01 to enjoy each other's company,they also take advantage of membership as an extensao~ the cultural studies of Spanish classes. The club provides students with a social oude related to Spanish and a chance for camaraderie among the • club members.

The ASL Club's purpose IS to promote sk1ll in ASL as well as understanding and involvement in the deaf community. Considering that ~~ out of every Da®®® persons is deaf or hearing impaired, the club is proud to have ~® members who are dedicated to service in the school and the commun ity. Students are alsoencouraged to focus their efforts on academic and social success asthey Progress through their high school career in order to meetacademic and occupational goals. Jordan High School made h1story bybeing the first school, district-wide, to recognize the Standing Tall Club.There are ®different tnbes represented within JHS. They are: Ute,Navajo, Coshed, Shoshone, Cherokee, Sioux, Hop1, Apache, and BlackFoot.



PALS, People with Autism Love to Socialize,was developed to help teachers and studentssupport diverse learners and to promote the1racademic and soc1al success. PALS wasoriginated in ~®DD by Marley Clark, who has astep-brother on the autism spectrum at JHS.Marley and her friends wanted to have a clubwhere all students could go to socialize withoutany social barriers. The club is comprised ofstudents from all walks of life. PALS includesstudents who want to develop friendships theywould not otherwise have. It is a club thatcele eness!
