Welcome To Brennan! Photo & Text: jacob wood, brent williams Brennan would like to welcome to the team; Jacob Wood, Brent Williams, Special Thurman and Zarion Thomas. jacob wood My name is Jacob Wood. I will start by saying that I live in Lakewood with my wife Jessica. I graduated from Cleveland State with bachelor’s in philosophy and history and have been working as a designer for Cleveland Steel Tool for the past 8 years. It was a small company, so I wore a lot of hats – including managing the manufacturing side of the ERP system. I have also worked to build a successful startup with friends doing product design and structuring manufacturing - still doing consulting from time to time. I like to go backpacking, paddleboarding, traveling outside the country whenever I can. I am also somewhat of a woodworker, building mostly custom furniture from locally sourced wood. 8 BRENNAN Newsletter

brent williams My name is Brent Williams and I started with Brennan in June 2022. I have worked in IT for over 18 years. For the last 6 years, I have focused most of my attention in Cybersecurity, securing systems and networks for companies as a Security Engineer. With Brennan, I am returning to my roots as a Network and Systems Administrator/ Engineer. I spent 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, having joined in 2005 and honorably discharged in 2013. I spent half of my contract living outside of the United States supporting military operations in Kuwait, South Korea, Japan and Iraq. I also spent one year living on an aircraft carrier touring the pacific with the United States Navy. Prior to that, I worked throughout Central and South Florida as a professional nightclub and radio DJ. I currently live in Houston, Texas, but I am a native Floridian. I have one dog. He’s a standard black and tan dachshund, he’s 10 years old and his name is Tank. I often take spontaneous road trips with my dog to visit various historical landmarks throughout the U.S. My hobbies include Cybersecurity research, music production, hiking, motorcycles (sport bikes), working out and DJ’ing. In addition to supporting the company mission, my personal goal at Brennan is to standardize IT processes, help reduce the number of manual tasks with automation, remove technical debt where applicable, all while balancing the act of improving the Cybersecurity posture of the network. The picture taken is from a recent road trip to Idaho. 9

Some of our team members got in the spirit and dressed up derby style with big hats and bow ties. Mark Mazzone won best dressed. Rob Ward held trivia during the lunch, testing everyone’s knowledge of the Kentucky Derby. Names were drawn for the 18 horses in the field. The winners were Rich Strike for Win, Epicenter for Place, and Zandon for Show. 12 BRENNAN Newsletter

On Cinco De Mayo, PC 60 celebrated the day with a Mexican-themed potluck. Several volunteers cooked at home and brought items in crock pots. Some of the items served included homemade guacamole and a special Spanish rice dish! We also purchased gift cards for lunch from local Mexican restaurants, won by Ed Monroe, Trish Givera, Larry Cranfield, Daniel Romero and Tim Sycz. On June 4th, Michael Caliebe and Alan Shockley attended a Charity Golf event in support of Eagles Ranch Children’s Home, one of Georgia’s largest homes for children in crisis (www.eagleranch.org). The event was hosted at the Legacy Golf Course at Lanier Islands in Buford, GA. The outing gave the suppliers an opportunity to socialize with Kubota and other vendors. Donations were made by the various suppliers for a raffle and Brennan donated a Yeti backpack cooler for the event. Additionally, prizes were awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin and a $15,000.00 Kubota Utility Vehicle was offered if someone could make a hole-in-one. The event raised more than $30,000 for Eagle Ranch. American Cancer Society Walkathon Photo & Text: Caelin Mills Brennan was proud to host a Walkathon in colloboration with the American Cancer Society at our Solon Headquarters location. We had a great turn out of employees, friends and family. It was such a wonderful way to honor cancer survivors and loved ones that are no longer with us today, while raising money for cancer research. We donated $6850.00 total, including Brennan’s match. To kick the day off, we started with registration and had a light breakfast of pastries, fruit and coffee. Kelly Standish - Senior Corporate Relations Manager from the American Cancer Society, Brad Rico - Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales and the City of Solon’s Mayor Ed Kraus each gave a speech before the start of the walk. After the walk, we held raffle drawings for some amazing prizes and baskets. Kudos to HR Intern, Kylie Rico, for gathering donations and creating raffle baskets with some really cool themes-- like the Game Night basket won by Angela Sebesy’s daughter, Antonia (pictured). The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based health organization dedicated to cancer research and helping families impacted by the disease. Their mission is to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. The American Cancer Society is proud to offer help and resources no matter where you live. They can help connect you to patient resources, educational information and volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions or need assistance, they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 800.227.2345. We were honored to have the opportunity to give back and support such a great cause, in honor of our loved ones. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the raffle! 18 BRENNAN Newsletter

maintaining Health and wellness Photo & Text: marketing team 5 Ways to stay healthy at work Do you ever feel like there are not enough hours in the day? Are you struggling to find ways to stay healthy while balancing work and life? Sometimes, we tend to set aside our own well-being for other priorities in life. Practicing healthy habits at work can help with our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, as well as our career. Here are 5 simple tips to stay healthy at the office: 1. Posture Sitting at a desk for 8 hours every day can eventually cause you some body pain. Having good posture will help reduce pain. Here are some ways to improve your posture: • Properly adjust your monitor to eye level. • If you have a standing desk, stand as much as you can. • Use a lumbar cushion for support. • Sit up straight. 2. Keep healthy snacks The vending machine and food from work parties can be tempting. It’s hard to say no when snacks are readily available, but if you leave some healthy options at your desk, it will be easier to grab these instead. 3. Stand up and stretch Remember to take short breaks to give yourself a rest from staring at the screen all day. You can do desk exercises, talk a quick walk around the office and stand at your desk instead of sitting. 4. Stay Hydrated Drinking plenty of water will help keep you energized and hydrated. Avoid sugary drinks that may make you feel sluggish. Try adding a lemon or lime to your water for flavor and using one of your favorite cups. 5. Bring your own lunch When you go out to eat, you are more likely to make unhealthy choices. By packing your own lunch, you can choose healthier options and control the portions. 20 BRENNAN Newsletter
