Art David Corrado David Corrado was born and raised in Hazleton, PA. At a young age, his grandfather Ned Panzarella, introduced him to art by taking him to his nighttime painting classes. In high school, David joined the Hazleton Art League where he received instruction from local artists William Yenkevich and Jane Butkovsky. David is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Throughout the years David has completed several murals for various businesses including the Freeland American Legion, Tarone’s Market in Hazleton, RC 14 in Wilkes-Barre, and Hazleton’s City Hall. He also has created logo designs for the city’s former First Night events. In September 2013, the Reverend Doug McKeeby presented David with a Gold Byzantine Icon in recognition of his efforts in completing and donating an 8x10 foot painting for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Now he is currently working on completing a graphic novel he hopes to publish next year. David always had a special interest in the art of the old masters, and enjoys following their footsteps in creating large scale paintings reflecting the Christian faith. David’s goal is to be able to use his art to tell old truths in a new way. 10 HABC January 2015
