2 The Thistle March 2018 CLUB PRESIDENT JOHN WARDMarch is a busy month for your CCR management team and Board of Stewards as we work to close out this fiscal year and make sure we have our plans in place for the next. Our Golf, Green and Activities Committees are busy finalizing the calendar for the upcoming year. I am also pleased to reportthe Membership Committee has a full agenda; we have several new members working through the final stages of themembership process. The House Committee is already working on the details of events taking place now and all the way into theend of 2018. The revival of Mixed Greens this fall should be an event to remember!Of course, the Long Range Planning Committee is also busy beginning to process the input members have provided in the longrange planning survey. So far, we have had a great response and we will keep the survey open through the first week of March. If you have not done so already, please make sure to get your survey in!With all of this activity, it seems like the right time to emphasize the importance of member involvement within our variouscommittees. I believe our strong committee structure helps provide our Club with an important competitive advantage. Havingmembers actively involved in Club Governance is the way we ensure the Club continues to deliver an excellent memberexperience. A survey is a great way to provide opinions on what you would like to see, while getting involved in a committeeis a great way to help make it happen.Shortly after the annual meeting in May, new committee chairs will be named and committees reformed. If you have an interestin becoming involved, please let any member of the Board of Stewards know and we will include you in that process.Only a month or so until the pins are in! ~ JohnGENERAL MANAGER SIMPLY ONE OF THE BESTMICHAEL SMITH, CCM, CCE We are proud that The Country Club of Rochester has once again beenThe month of March brings about This fiscal year is projected to finish on recognized as a Distinguished Club the “changing of the guard” here budget.
