DROUGHTS • About 12 million trees have died in California forestlands in the past year because of extreme drought. The dead trees add to the flammability of a drying landscape that is increasingly threatened by large, intense wildfires. • The California drought has affected the state’s Central Valley, which is considered the richest food-producing region in the world. • The average Californian uses about 200 gallons of water per day. EARTHQUAKES • Japan’s 9.0 earthquake in 2011 moved the island closer to the U.S and shifted the planet’s axis by 6.5 inches. • The 2004 earthquake that triggered killer tsunamis throughout the Indian Ocean weakened a portion of California's famed San Andreas Fault. • 80% of our planet’s earthquakes occur along the rim of the Pacific Ocean known as the ring of fire.© 2015 Game Plan Preppers LLC

CIVIL UNREST • 96 percent of all Americans believe that there will be more civil unrest in America as time goes by. • Most grocery stores have less than 3 days’ supply of food and water. VOLCANOES • The danger area around a volcano covers a 20-mile radius. • An erupting volcano can trigger tsunamis, flash floods, earthquakes, mudflows and rock falls. • There are more than 500 active volcanoes in the world. TSUNAMIS • The first wave of a tsunami is usually not the strongest. Successive waves get bigger and stronger. • Tsunamis can travel at speeds of about 500-600 miles per hour— as fast as a commercial airliner. • The Cascadia subduction zone is the greatest threat to cause a tsunami in California© 2015 Game Plan Preppers LLC

WILDFIRES • Wild fires can produce fire tornados. The scope of these fire events can range from 100 to 1,000 feet and contain rotational velocities of up to 90 mph. • Trees can explode if water deep inside the tree turns quickly to steam. • They can move as fast as 6.7 mph in forests and 12-14 mph in grasslands. ---Faster than you can run!© 2015 Game Plan Preppers LLC
