INCENTIVES PROVIDED BY GOVT OF INDIA Commissioned Officers in Armed Forces 1. ARMY 4. Paramilitary Forces (a) Regular Officers. (a) Border Security Force. For Appointment in Officer Cadre : 32 Vacancies reserved in IMA for NCC 'C' Certified holders per course. NCC Certificate holders are given additional bonus marks as under : (b) Short Service Commissioned Officers. (i) NCC - A / B / C Certificate : 4 / 6 / 10 Marks 50 vacancies reserved per course at OTA Chennai. (b) Central Reserve Police Force. Candidates, having a third class 2. Navy & Air Force Bachelor's Degree and holding 'B' or 'C' certificate of NCC, (a) Navy. Six vacancies reserved per course for NCC 'C' are also considered eligible for various posts. (iii) NCC 'C' Certificate holders will be exempted from Common Entrance Examination for Sol (GD) subject to meeting the other Criteria for enrolment. (i) Telecom Technicians NCC - B / C Certificate : 7 / 10 Marks (b) Navy. (i) NCC - A / B / C Certificate : 2 / 4 / 6 Marks 6. The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced following incentives for NCC cdts on (c) Air Force. INCENTIVES GIVEN BY PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS 149 1. Indian Airlines. Already giving preference to the NCC 'B' & 'C' Certificate holders for appointment in the Security Section. 2. Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. For direct recruitment in group 'C and D' Posts, weightage in terms of marks is being given for extra curricular activities, which include NCC for staff posts. 3. Coal India Ltd. Weightage for NCC Certificates is given for JD (2 marks) and SD (4 marks) at the time of selection of candidates. 4. National Hydroelectric Power. Due weightage given to qualified candidates who are NCC 'B' and 'C' Certificate holders while filling up the appropriate posts through direct recruitment. 5. Pawan Hans Ltd. NCC Candidates who have passed 'B' and 'C', Certificate of NCC will be given preference. 6. Indian Oil Corp Ltd. For Fire Fighting Operator in Group 'C', NCC 'C' Certificate has been prescribed as desirable qualification. Moreover at the time of interview for other group 'C' Posts, candidates possessing NCC Certificates are given due weightage under the category of extra curricular activities. 7. National Building Const Corporation Ltd. Persons having NCC Certificate are given due weightage. 8. The National Small Industries Corp Ltd. NCC 'B' and 'C' Certificate holders are preferred for recruitment to group 'B' and 'C' posts. 9. Sahara India. Many appointments are made based wholly on NCC 'C' Certificate as qualification. 10.
