Explain your answer JUS 620 Grand Canyon Week 2 Assignment Is Justice Truly Blind For this assignment, you will write a paper discussing whether you agree or disagree with the statement that crime and victims are politicized and the idea that Justice is blind. As you are writing your paper, consider these facts; more than 70% of the U.S. prison population is composed of minorities, and minorities are more often victims of crime. Write an essay of 1,250-1,500 words that thoroughly explores the idea that Justice is blind. Address the following in your paper:1. Research a minimum of three examples of historical punishments carried out in your state. Provide a brief overview of the crimes and the punishments carried out. Your three examples should involve people of diverse ethnic backgrounds who have been convicted of crimes. For example, a white male, a Hispanic male, and an African American male.2. Compare each punishment and determine if the punishments were just or unjust.3. Do you believe that minorities are unfairly profiled, arrested, and prosecuted and left unprotected by the Justice system? Use the GCU e-Library to locate four to six peer-reviewed sources in support of your content.
